I enjoyed it. Enough so that I was genuinely disappointed when I read that it was cancelled. It took awhile for me to get invested but by the end I was. This series reminds me so much of a cheesy ‘90s sci fi/fantasy series and I found that aspect of it super nostalgic and fun.

+ All three of the main characters were great. I loved the relationships between all three of them which is really what made the series work. They all got pretty even focus as did the three of them as a team which I liked.

+ I liked that the series was Elida overcoming her mother's final warning to 'trust no one' and ending up choosing to put her full trust in Isaac and Amae, only to reunite with said mother and be betrayed by her.

+ I liked the reveals about how ruthless Xevelyn actually was. Her being set up as a (well-meaning) antagonist was great.

+ I was a bit surprised that Elida and Isaac made up so quickly. One episode of anger and then the next one completely back to normal. No, even better than they ever had been over the course of the series thus far. Back to the normal that they must have been before their break-up. Isaac clearly still had a lot of guilt but I felt like even with Elida's flashback remembrance of being alone it should have lasted a little longer on her part.

+ I love Isaac as this John Crichton character except in this version he's not the protagonist and he's not quite so competent.

+ The humour of the show worked for me for the most part. Lots of little moments, of reactions, of interactions that amused me.

+ (on alien claws scratching on the glass windows trying to break in to kill them) "That’s the worst sound ever. It’s so unnecessary." LOL

+ I loved how the faceless bad guy mooks were given personalities. The little moments of them arguing and complaining were delightful and the show had a lot of fun with it. It was one of my favourite parts of the show and I wish more series would do this.

+ The show took death very cavalierly, so much murder and death, but it mostly works. I do wish the show didn't kill off quite so many of the background/supporting characters.

+ I loved the really vast variety in aliens. It was mostly face-makeup Star Trek aliens but there were a lot of different ones which I liked.

+ I liked all the reoccurring gags like Elida's terrible one-liners and Issac always forgetting to charge his gun.

+ I enjoyed Lazaro as the main baddie. His introduction was so dramatic and weird! It was great. His backstory was interesting too.

+ I loved that when Lazaro said wait Elida didn't actually stop to see what he had to say and just shot him in the head.

+ I was really surprised that Elida had basically no reaction to the reveal that her mother murdered her father. Yes, she had a lot on her mind but nothing? Even during their talk at the very end there was nothing - no hesitance or anger or confusion or demand for an explanation. Did she think Lazaro made it up? It was weird.

+ I loved the reveal in ep 2 that they were captured for a 'fight to survive for the entertainment of others' - in a karaoke battle. Ha!

Episode 8 'No Clue'

This was my favourite episode. It was a bottle episode but a really well-done and fun one. I thought it was a delight.

+ I loved Elida/Isaac. I think this is the first time we see them as how they must have before the break-up and it was so great. They were so in sync!

+ I loved drunk Elida and Isaac being completely unimpressed with literally everything - from the Parking Authority itself to the murders. Drunk Elida and Isaac are fun.

+ I loved Elida's repeated assertion that if she was the murderer she would have just killed them all. And that both Isaac and Amae's defence was that murdering people would involve too much clean up.

+ I loved that Winnie got a kill of her own.

+ Amae casually saying that they'll "just mug someone" for their tickets and Elida and Isaac's huge grins and fistbump was adorable.

+ Elida opening the cabinet for weapons and it revealing all the clue weapons made me laugh so hard. It made no sense considering it was a gag earlier in the episode about how many weapons they have stashed all over but I forgive it for the hilarity. Also they ended up using all the weapons including the rope so that was great.

+ The solution to the mystery behind the killer did feel a little obvious. I figured that something came out of the agent's head immediately but it didn't really detract from the fun.

+ I feel like this whole interlude is not going to do good things for their reputations. The parking authority went after them and all disappeared! If there had been a second season I feel like this would have come back up.
