I really enjoyed it. Great looking, excellent acting, very engaging mysteries. I'm looking forward to season 2.

I love both Mother and Father. I find them both very compelling and so too the direction their relationship with each other went. I love Father as the sensible, genial one and his dad jokes are terrible and great. He seems to have a good understanding of humans and human nature, and to generally have a lot of common sense. His devotion to Mother is so excellent and I loved him becoming angry and jealous over her dalliance with Campion Sr. Mother meanwhile can be so scary but I love watching her struggle with her emotions and dealing with the humans. I love how emotional the two of them increasingly become over the course of the season. They're not just androids. I wonder if there's something special about the both of them that's the reason behind why they're different?

Suiciding into one of the holes, together, with the only ship seemed a little rash. I did love Mother giving in and letting Father help her as he so desperately wanted but at the same time - seriously? It would have been far more sensible to leave Father to look after the children. They left them, basically alone in an unfamiliar area where they know the devolved human predators gather. The planet is very hostile to human life. They took their only transport out of there. It was a terrible idea!

The final two episodes were my favourite. I was very pleased to have Mother/Tempest meet up with Mary/Sue and the kids, and then eventually Father and Hunter joining them.

I really loved all the kids jumping between Mother and Mary/Sue in order to protect Mother. That was so lovely.

I quite liked all the kids. Tempest is my favourite. Hunter is an asshole but his relationship with Father grudgingly won me over. Vita is adorable and I loved Holly stepping up to try and protect Tempest but I hope next season gives them more screen-time because they've been given the least focus. I liked Paul's friendship with Campion and his relationship with his parents for most the time was great.

I loved the Mother and Mary/Sue scenes and the two of them genuinely connecting through being mothers.

I loved Tempest hugging Mother when they found each other in the ship.

I was happy that Tempest got her revenge in the end. That she was the one who actively got to cause her rapist's death.

Hunter bonding with Father, regretting him being reset to factory settings and then bringing him back and escaping with him was all great. I loved the scene after restores Father from the backup. Lovely moment between them. I loved him convincing Hunter to help with the plants by making the other option having to listen to his terrible dad jokes.

I do feel sorry for Caleb/Marcus who seemed a fairly decent guy, and who's relationships with Mary-Sue and Paul I really liked, but who by the end has lost his damn mind. Not at all sure where the show is going with him. I feel like eventually Mother is going to want her eyes back which won't bode well for him.

Mother's Necromancer form is amazing looking. I love it. She is terrifying and awe-inspiring.

Campion's baptism scene was great. I loved his reaction when he realised they'd used his siblings' headstones as building material. I loved Tempest reaction when he was told they didn't matter since they were atheists. I absolutely think Father gathered them specifically to try and reach out to Campion.

Tally kind of disappeared in the final episodes but I really want to know what the hell is going on with her/it. Campion wondering if she's the only one to appear because she was the only one to fall into one of the holes was a clever question and I wonder it too. Considering she was encouraging Campion to commit suicide I don't imagine she's an ally. Is she connected to the voice of 'Sol'?

The fact that Mother only saved five of the children, because she was missing five children, instead of trying to save all of them is a lot. She could have saved them. She could have even saved the ship with all it's supplies (medical, food, water) instead of crashing it. I don't imagine the people would have been able to stop her from going through it and killing everyone but the children. Is it because it was a Mithraic ship? On top of that why did she crash the ship so close to their home? I question all her decisions during this escapade is what I'm saying.
