It was okay.

+ I loved the concept. It's fun.

+ I loved the aliens. Nice design.

+ Some good action. The sequence where they land in the future and their tense mission to recover the research was enjoyable.

+ I loved Charlie's "shit, shit, shit, shit, shit" while running down the stairs. The way it became this unending refrain was amusing. Also 'paranoid santa' amused me.

+ The scene where the future soldiers arrival was great. But it was far too short and, while I understand why they cut from there, I really wanted more of the immediate aftermath and people's reactions.

+ Norah and Cowan were barely characters but I liked them regardless and their final stand was good.

+ My biggest issue by far was the end and how that played out. Possibly I got this wrong but it looked like no one actually cared about the toxin when he came back? Did he seriously take it home with him? I don't understand why this wasn't a huge deal. Regardless of whether they could return to the future having a toxin that can kill the aliens means that that future no longer matters - they can change it! They have a weapon to fight back with and save themselves. So it being brushed aside was ridiculous.

Also ridiculous was Dan and his small team going to find the alien ship and then deciding to try and destroy it themselves. They barely tried to inform the rest of the world. If Lieutenant Hart was able to get all those supplies and some many samples of the toxin made then why was it even necessary for it to be this small secret force? And sure, they succeeded but they almost didn't and what the hell would have happened if they'd failed? The whole thing bothered me a lot on every level.

+ I actually did enjoy the family drama especially with Dan and future!Muri. They had some nice moments. I liked how it tied back into Dan's own tense relationship with his father and the happy ending resolution to it. But overall too much time was spent on all the family stuff.

+ I really disliked how everything basically paused so Dan and Muri could have a long touching moment before her death even though the entire base was being overrun. It made me roll my eyes. Dan jumping off the platform to follow Muri was also dumb. What if he hadn't be taken back before he reached her? He'd have died with the solution, the dumbass.

+ I wanted to know more about Lieutenant Hart and the others sent back into the past though I get why we didn't spend much time with them.

+ I wish Charlie had been involved in the final fight against the last female. I kept expecting him to show up at some essential moment. Sure, he had his moment of courage using the saw to kill one but people can have more than one moment! It annoyed me that he showed up only after she was killed.

+ Considering how important Muri was, not just as a military leader but as the scientist, I found it strange that they'd risk her life in battle.
