I loved the Liz Kyle confrontation. Everything about that was so great. I loved him calling her on running to confront him instead of Max. I loved him refusing to feel guilty for keeping it from her because medical ethics is a thing. I really really loved - "You used his DNA, Liz. Without telling him. Max didn't put you here, you did. When you decided to put science above everything else." Because I love Liz but wow, was she wrong about this one specific aspect of how everything went down. So wrong.
"If it were you, I would not cover it up. I would burn the entire world down first." ... okay that really worked for me. I loved how he said it - not as a confession of love but stated baldly as an incontrovertible truth in his life. And then he drives away without waiting for Michael to say anything. It was so great. I loved Michael's reaction to it. Honestly I've never shipped Michael/Alex and in fact have often actively disliked them. Last season's finale had me liking them and their short interaction here continued that.
I also loved Alex smacking down Michael's self-pity/angst/self-loathing spiral. "I hate to break it to you Guerin but there isn't a special set of rules that apply just to you. You decide who you are. If you give up its on you." Really harsh but also I think very necessary. A+ Alex.
I'm very excited about Isobel bringing up Max's words about "there has to be three" and "we're a triad". Dare I hope that this season is actually going to address what that means?
I appreciate Jones pointing out that the trio are fractured because they really are and all I want from this show is for them to finally be happy and together, whole and acting as one, a cohesive unit. I'm hoping this season will address the many issues between them, and the lies, and they will end it stronger than ever.
"I still feel empty inside." Okay, YIKES. I really hope this is leading to Kyle finding something better in life rather then death. I am very worried about him.
