There was some nice character stuff in this book but it was very shallow on plot. It definitely felt like filler.

I love that Kell refused to accept Osaron even at the expense of Rhy’s life because he refused to sacrifice his world. I was absolutely expecting him to say yes so that was a great surprise.

Lila and Alucard’s relationship was great. I loved them.

I continue to love Kell/Rhy.

I liked Kell/Lila okay.

I loved the reunion scene with Rhy/Alucard but there wasn't enough after that to really make their relationship click.

I don’t think I’d even considered the possibility that Lila was an Antari but it seems so obvious now. I hope the reveal is that she's a Grey London Antari not that she's some other special being.

I really feel for Holland and don’t blame him for jumping at the chance to not only save his own life but then to save his whole world even if he needed to sacrifice another for it. I hope he survives the next book and gets to be the king his London needs.

I’d also like to see more development of Holland and Kell’s relationship. They are a like in so many ways and are in such a unique situation as Antari I find myself wanting them to bond.

Why didn’t Kell feel the pleasure Rhy was feeling when he and Alucard met again. Apparently the bond was strong enough to feel pleasure so Kell should have gotten some blow back from their reunion.

I liked the bit of Kell mourning for the George III.

I hope Lila killing her opponent and two of his crew comes back up because it feels like there really should be consequences for it. Kell wasn’t wrong when he said she was reckless and careless.
