Tones of Home
This episode felt rushed and like it was missing some scenes.
+ I enjoyed Isobel and Maria a lot. I loved Maria's 'sister fight' explanation. Isobel's "Do you want to trade life tips for sex tips." made me laugh. I really love that, because they're now family, Maria is never going to escape Is's patented unapologetic cock-blocking. In turn I was amused by Isobel's increasing annoyance with Maria and Gregory not taking the search as urgently as she was. I like where their relationship has gone and them gradually working their way into being sisters.
+ I can't believe how badly the show has fumbled with Kyle in the last couple episodes. Everyone spends several episodes frantic to save his life, he suddenly disappears and then... nothing. Literally no one has mentioned him again. I assumed that Alex told them Kyle was found and was safe during the last episode but he was still unconscious/in a coma. Yet once again no one mentions him. It's not even as if they're frantically caught up in Jones drama! This was kind of a leisurely episode for them. But there wasn't even a moment of relief that he's awake and well. WTH?! It feels like something ended up on cutting room floor that really, really shouldn't have. I'd say it makes everyone look like terrible friends but honestly it's more like once he disappeared he was erased from their memories.
+ Gregory knowing the truth and being involved took me by surprise. Even if they told him after the season finale (?) he hasn't really been around as part of the alien side of the story so it felt like a weird jump to have Isobel acting like he's one of the group.
+ This was cute: "Watsons, it’s time to Sherlock ourselves an alien."
+ I like that the show is tying Heath into the bigger picture and I like how they're doing it. But at the same time if he stole Liz's tapes and knocked out Kyle how the hell did he even know the tapes were there?
