It was a nice sweet end to an enjoyable series.
I am so happy that I got the ending I wanted all along - all four of them working together to exorcise ghosts again. I'm glad that both Bong-pal and Hyun-ji retained their ability to see ghosts. I'm pleased that what changed Bong-pal's mind was knowing that he could help both people and ghosts by doing it.
Bong-pal and Hyun-ji ended the series as cute as they were throughout. I loved the whole blind date situation and their non-fight afterwards.
The final defeat of the dark entity in Hye-sung was unexpectedly quick and anticlimactic and honestly a little disappointing. It happened so fast that I wish they'd simply added it to the previous episode (though for cliffhanger reasons I understand why they didn't.) It kept being brought up how Myung-chul had lost his powers/ability and we just got the reveal that Bong-pal had apparently inherited his mother's great power so I figured this was leading to Bong-pal having to defeat this evil that had haunted him his whole life. I guess he did but it really should have taken more than a punch!
"He had hatred in his heart. You can't overlook that crime." Uh, I sure can. Hye-sung was a 13 year old abused boy who wanted to protect his mother. I understand why he blames himself but I don't. I was surprised but pleased that he survived because I was so sure he was going to die. I'm upset that he ended up going to jail for the murders (and will always be known as a murderer) but I do love that he and his mother found their way back to each other. It's probably the best ending he could have gotten.
I loved Bong-pal inviting Myung-chul to move in with him permanently. Him telling Myung-chul he's his only family now was so touching. I liked Myung-chul being so supportive at the end.
Seo-yeon ends the series as an cameo that feels a little like an after thought. I wish more had been done with her. At the very least they could have given her a reaction to Hye-sung being revealed to be a serial killer.
It was nice to see the changes in Bong-pal and how far he's come. I loved him having lunch with Cheon-sang and In-rang and that they've become close friends. I liked him accepting the group assignment and allowing himself to be dragged to a party. He tries now and it's nice to see.
Hyun-ji scaring the male ghost and him sadly crawling away made me laugh.
Cheon-sang was usually the lead in all the shenanigans, the dramatic one to the slightly more chill In-rang, so I enjoyed seeing that kind of switched. In-rang's demanding phone call and his 'move it!' to Cheon-sang amused me.
