The Mandalorian 2x05 Thoughts

Grogu reacting to his name was adorable.
What we got of Grogu's backstory was expectedly dark but one of the saddest parts for me is that this must have been the first time Grogu's heard his name since the Jedi temple fell. Poor baby. I'm curious about his survival. I'm wondering if it was less 'rescued' and more 'kidnapped'?
Din's excitement when Grogu used his powers was also adorable. He was so pleased! I loved his encouraging words to Grogu, he was such a proud dad.
So Grogu has understood everything Din has said all this time and has simply been ignoring him? I mean that is very toddler of him. On the other hand, there's electrocuting himself.
I loved the opening stalking of the soldiers by Ahsoka. The fight between Ahsoka and the Magistrate was great. The short Ahsoka/Din fight was good too.
I can't blame Ahsoka her hesitance to train Grogu, and not just because of her history. We've already seen that Grogu has a very... undeveloped moral compass.
I've only seen random clips of Ahsoka before but her clear grief and trauma over what happened with Anakin/the Jedi and how alone she is made me sad.
It also makes me wonder all the more why she never joined Luke. I'm sure they've met and that's a story to be told.
Can Grogu's "abilities fade"? I'm pretty sure the Force, and people's connection to it, does not actually work that way. Right?
I love the shot of Ahsoka standing on the wall behind Din.
It was just really great to see lightsabers and a Jedi fighting again.
I feel like Din could have been a little more descriptive than 'done things I can't explain'. Like, 'lifted a creature' and 'healed someone' and 'repelled fire'.
