What If... Episode 7
Nov. 15th, 2021 11:15 pm...Thor Were an Only Child
It was silly fun.
+ I found the end of this episode really weird. A new version of evil Vision showing up randomly came completely out of nowhere. There was no foreshadowing of this sudden 'dun dun dun' ending and went with nothing this episode was about. Honestly not a fan.
+ Loved Carol vs Thor. It was fun. Them literally hitting each other across the planet was great.
+ "Quit it, these are... I don't know what these are, no one does. But, no! I said no! Stop!" LOL. And then Thor dominoes Stonehedge, heh.
+ I am super amused that it was calling Frigga that was the solution in the end.
+ Thor/Loki were great. I loved their "Brothers forever".
+ Hmm, Loki isn't a runt in this. I wonder why not? I love that however much has changed Loki is still very much Loki - complete with laughing when Thor got punched and planning to abandon Thor to his fate.
+ Darcy was great. I enjoyed her fangirling Carol, was amused by her interactions with Howard the Duck.
+ It was great to see Jane again though her fangirling Thor was a little much. I loved that it was her and Darcy who saved the day.
+ The Thor name thing was a little too dumb Thor for me. He's not dumb.
+ I liked the twist to Thor's "there's a Midgardian word for women like you" ending in 'Party-pooper' because this is Thor and he would never use any of those other words.
+ Rumlow sulking about not getting to use the nukes amused me.
+ I found the way Freya gently poked Odin's cheek to check that he was sleeping and then went "And, uh" before peacing out hilarious. Like she was just waiting for Odinsleep so she could escape to have fun too.
+ I did wonder if worlds getting destroyed when Thor parties was more because the people of those worlds try and fight back against the partying.
