Word of Honor Thoughts
Dec. 5th, 2021 10:36 pmEpisode 16
+ I did end up feeling bad for Gao Chong and for Shen Shen, of all people. He's a dick but apparently not that much of a dick. Who knew?
+ I did not see Zhao Jing being behind Gao Chong's downfall at all. It was a great twist. The fact that Scorpion works for him was also a neat surprise.
+ Scorpion appears to have his own plans but at the same time he's clearly jealously possessive of Zhao Jing and their relationship. I find them really interesting. They are a lot and I love it and want more. I also feel like this is what's going to end up blowing up in Zhao Jing's face.
+ Kexing and Baiyi's bickering/bitchiness with each other amuses me a lot. They're like two angry cats hissing and arching their backs, ready to fight, as soon as they see each other. They annoy each other so much, it's great. I enjoy the way Kexing bristles when Baiyi talks to or about Zishu.
+ I loved Kexing calling Chengling "my child". I love how defensive he gets whenever Baiyi shows the slightest interest or offers the tiniest opinion on Chengling.
Episode 17
+ I'm so glad Weining survived. He's an absolute sweetheart and he and Xiang are very sweet. I want them to get a happy ending.
+ Kexing and Baiyi's drinking contest amused me. I loved Kexing looking for grey in Baiyi's hair and Baiyi getting all frantic about it when he says he found some, heh.
Episode 18
+ I love how well Kexing and Zishu work together - in flinging Chengling back up, in fighting the drug men, in their escape.
+ "If your master disappears one day I'll also find a place like this to hide and see no one anymore." I also loved Kexing calling him 'my dear'.
+ Baiyi calling them out for having fun and flirting while their disciple was lost amused me.
+ I love how Kexing has now claimed a place as co-Master of Chengling, not simply an uncle. "Where is our disciple", "that silly boy of ours" and "he's not your kid" (implied he's ours). It's lovely.
