Red Notice
Jan. 6th, 2022 11:10 pmIt was dumb but fun. I'd watch a sequel.
+ I enjoyed all the caper aspects of it.
+ It was pretty funny. All the Booth/Hartley back-and-forth amused me a lot.
+ I love all three of these actors and pretty much always find them charming and it was no different here. Loved them together. That said they didn't have as much chemistry together as I was expecting and it was a little disappointing.
+ I loved that Booth was honestly very, very competent. I was expecting him to be a little more bumbling? Or something. But they were all on fairly even level which I really liked. The escape from the prison was excellent.
+ I liked the twist though I'd guessed it before the reveal. It was during the dance when Hartley asked Bishop about her partner and it was sort of an a ha moment. At first I thought it was Booth (his reaction at the dance made me wonder if he was jealous) but once it was revealed that he knew the location of the third egg it was obvious it couldn't be him. I toyed with the idea that it was Das but decided it was probably Hartley that was her partner. Between his willingness to shoot at cops/prison guards and the weirdness behind his motives in chasing her down (if he was an FBI agent this would be super easy to clear up!)I was a little hmmm about him from the start but brushed it off as bad writing, so points to the movie for that.
