The Doom Patrol Season 1
Apr. 10th, 2022 09:49 pmI liked it.
I loved the whole concept of the villain narrating the show. I found it really fun. I liked Morden as a character. I liked how everything ended. Everything about him worked really well for me.
I also loved the concept of Jane and her many other personalities and them each having their own separate powers. I liked the reveal that Jane wasn't actually the original one though the whole abused child situation is more meh. I wish it was something else that caused Kay to create all those personalities to protect her.
Rita and Larry's friendship was so wonderful and sweet. Possibly my favourite relationship on the show. Their understanding and support of each other was great. The two of them very much came off as a set and I liked it.
Cliff is such a dick, and yet I reluctantly liked him anyway. I loved him being pleased that they actually succeeded at something (two things at once even) and refusing to listen to everyone else's pessimism. But such a dick.
Danny Street was pretty neat.
This show could get so so weird and I enjoyed that aspect a lot.
I found the Niles/Kipling relationship interesting and wished we'd seen more of Kipling.
