iariaThis season continued the batshit fun of season one, yay.
+ Mother and Father were at even more odds than usual so it was actually a relief when Father gently rejected Grandmother's advance and reiterated his commitment to Mother. I loved this moment between them : "You once said I have a penchant for melodrama. (they both smile) ...You’re good, Mother. So please don’t take any unnecessary risks. The children need you. ...and so do I."
+ Poor Sue! I could never have guessed that her fate would be 'become a believer, turn into a tree, get eaten by a flying snake/dragon'. This show is so crazy that I had hope that she could be turned back from a tree, it's crazy enough that I will 100% buy her returning from the corpse stump, and would like that to happen.
+ I was disappointed that we didn't get more Sue and Mother friendship though I liked what little we got.
+ I realise that he was murderous and created by a malevolent being to destroy humanity but I was still so sad when Number 7 died. Especially that he was 'betrayed' and killed by his own mother.
+ Speaking of - poor Vrille. I also felt deeply sorry for her and her fate. Decima's attack on her was hard to watch and Vrille's desperation to be accepted by the family was heart-breaking, even more so her interactions with Campion.
+ Hunter and Tempest cheering on Father's fight match and their joy over him winning and just in general their behaviour around him in that scene was great.
+ So Marcus is totally dead, yes? The floating thing makes me wonder if 'Sol' will somehow take over his body or we'll get zombie!Marcus.
+ The reveal that all the native creatures were formerly humans because their android Shepherds purposefully devolved them to maintain the human race everlasting was a fun twist.
+ The whole acid ocean idea is cool but people spent way too much time around it to be entirely believable. So many waves sending out spray, so much walking and sitting on water covered rocks.
