Hotel Del Luna Episode 12
Jul. 19th, 2022 11:05 pmWow, this was a full episode.
+ Chan-sung isn't Chung-myung! Honestly I rather love that twist. That Chan-sung's relationship is all about who he is now with none of the reincarnation baggage/emotions attached. It's always bothered me that all the people we know reincarnated look exactly as they did in a previous life whereas Chan-sung didn't.
+ I loved the reveal that Chung-myung was the fireflies. Another thing I'd been vaguely curious about but assumed wasn't anything that important. Poor Chung-myung! Him refusing to pass on to the afterlife and cursing himself so that he could stay with Man-wol makes me so sad for him. They truly loved each other so much.
+ Chan-sung and Man-wol were lovely all episode. I loved Chan-sung calling her his guardian and her protectiveness of him. I loved their kisses at the end.
+ Ji-won also went in a direction I wasn't expecting but think was excellent. Him getting captured so quickly surprised me, him killing himself and turning into a vengeful ghost whose cursed Chan-sung? Great swerve in the story.
+ So what price could Chan-sung have to pay that will make Man-wol 'sad and scared'? I wonder if he'll end up becoming the next owner of the Hotel Del Luna/taking over Man-wol's connection to the Moon Tree?
+ Chan-sung was absolutely in the wrong to lie to Sanchez about Veronica still being at the hotel. He didn't want to further Sanchez's pain which is understandable but all he ended up doing was dragging it out. Knowing that Veronica had passed on to the afterlife at peace so that he could grieve and move on would be far kinder and healthier for him. I'm glad the deception didn't last very long.
