I really enjoyed it.

Ji-woo was great. Loved her determination and willingness to do anything for vengeance but that at the same time she had a strong streak of decency in her. Her competence was also very attractive.

I loved how very angry Ji-woo was at the beginning and wish'd we could have seen a little more of it during the rest of the series even though I understand why she had to be a lot more contained.

I'd guessed from the beginning that Mu-jin killed Dong-hoon and by the time he gave her his knife and told her to kill his killer with it I was certain. It was like 'yup episode 8 she's killing him with that' so the end wasn't a surprise at all just a little disappointing since I was hoping for something unexpected. That said their final knife fight confrontation was excellent.

Ji-woo and Mu-jin's relationship was the most fascinating. So twisty and complicated. I loved that they did end up caring for each other a bit. Especially Mu-jin who has all the reasons to keep his distance but can't seem to. Him risking himself to save her from being crushed was A+. I just love the number of very charged looks they exchange over the series. A small moment but him drinking chamomile tea (after she brought him some because she knew he was having a hard time sleeping.) I love that he trained her to be a killer knowing that it could one day be turn on him.

I've never seen Park Hee-soon in anything before but I loved him as Mu-jin. Very charismatic.

I wish we'd gotten some flashbacks to those four years Ji-woo was preparing her new life as Hye-jin.

Mu-jin crying over Ji-woo betraying him just like her father did was very a lot. Dude I love you but you murdered her father, lied to her, and used her grief and rage to shape her into your minion so *jazz hands*.

It almost was if Mu-jin was trying to recreate Dong-hoon in Ji-woo but this time getting it right - she too would be an undercover police officer but she would have the killing edge/be able to become a monster unlike her father, and through it all she would be loyal to him.

I wondered if a part of Mu-jin was passively suicidal. He knew she would come for him but instead of having her taken out he actively wanted the showdown between them. His rage when he realised that she went to the police instead of coming to kill him like she should have was something.

The fight scenes were pretty great all around.

Learning that Tae-ul had been there that day and taken a picture with Mu-jin and Dong-hoon made me feel bad for him. Here he is completely loyal and devoted to Mu-jin and yet it's the photo only with traitor Dong-hoon that gets put on Mu-jin's desk. Harsh. And then Dong-hoon's daughter shows up and gets all of Mu-jin's attention and trust even though she's clearly a ticking time bomb. That sucks.

So I guess Tae-ul went off book in trying to kill Ji-woo? Why would Mu-jin turn himself in as a test if he'd sent Tae-ul to kill her, or be surprised to see Tae-ul dead?

Pil-do was a sweet guy and I actually liked how things played out with him. If I'd read about it beforehand I think I'd have been annoyed but it made sense and worked in context.

We didn't really get to know anything about her but Ms Kang surviving the day intact was great.

The final hotel fight scenes were well done but all I could think of was how big a change this was from earlier when she was all about how they were people too and shouldn't be treated as if they meant nothing.
