Lou
+ Lou was great. I loved getting a character like that - the grumpy, grizzled, hardened ex-CIA agent - but with a woman, and seeing Allison Janney playing against type was nice. So I loved everything about that character.
+ I liked Hannah. I loved what they did with the Hannah/Lou relationship.
+ The reveal of Philip being Lou's son surprised me. I was glad Lou survived though that was some bad work on the CIA's side.
Bird Box
+ The creatures/horror element was excellent. (And I think sight vs sound like The Quiet Place) worked better for me.
+ I liked Malorie and Douglas's bonding scene a lot. And in the end he did prove to be right just as he said he would.
+ I liked Tom and Tom/Malorie.
+ Jessica was only in the movie for a bit but I really loved her relationship with Malorie.
+ I liked Malorie's journey with the kids and her decision not to sacrifice one of them.
+ It was such a tiny moment but I loved when Malorie was standing in the road in shock as everything started and a woman running past grabs her by the waist and drags her along until she starts moving herself. So little but such a lovely moment of humanity and compassion.
