iaria+ I enjoyed the irreverent tone of the show and how much fun it was clearly having with itself. The inventive zombie deaths are great.
+ My favorites are Doc (he's lovely) and Murphy (he's a shit).
+ Murphy&Doc and Murphy&Warren are my favourite relationships. I just find them very fun together.
+ Doc questioning Murphy at the gun show and then his 'I'm disappointed in you' upon learning he bit the man was hilarious.
+ The show killing Garrett surprised me. He was so clearly the main character. Then Cassandra in the finale. I wonder if this is a show that's going to have one or two major deaths a season.
+ I kind of love Murphy. He's the worst and I spent a lot of time going 'Murphy wtf' but he's a lot of fun. Actually that makes me nostalgic and I just hope this Murphy has as great a character development and direction as The 100's Murphy did.
+ Even with the whole infecting Cassandra and setting off a nuclear armageddon and abandoning his friends to death what Murphy did to that poor woman and her daughter in theh abandoned town was the most 'wtf is wrong with you' thing,. Just - wtf is wrong with you Murphy? Dude. Him letting a zombie in to kill them could maybe be considered a mercy but that it was their husband/father was the worst.
+ Doc and the zombie in the vents was delightful and funny.
+ I feel a lot of sympathy for Helen and her Sisters of Mercy. Helen is manipulative as hell but her grievences are understanble based on her past. And she created a really wonderful sanctuary. But her whole 'send all 13 yo boys to their deaths' is a terrible and unsustainable idea. Also evil. But like, I can buy that since it's only been 3 years there haven't been that many yet. Perhaps the three we saw we're the only ones so it's early days. But mothers' are going to object to killing their kids. So will sisters. And moral people in general. Sending them out is also dumb as shown by Caleb brining people back.
I hope we see them again because with Helen removed I think it could be a genuinely safe and healing place. Maybe that could be Addy ushering in a new phase. So far any bit off hope or success in the apocalypse has been wiped out and I wish the show would leave more of them intact like this.
+ Since animals can go zombie, or at least mammals, there should be a hell of a lot more animal zombies running around. Where are all the zombie mice and rats?
