With only 2 days left til the show is off the air I decided to give up on those final 3 episodes and to go back and rewatch some past episodes. I chose them mainly by my reviews and picking episodes that I started the reviews saying I loved it or something similar.

1x13

+ I had genuinely forgotten Jasper's role in the grounder massacre but he had a major part in it. It was Clarke's idea and she did some basic helping and Raven was the brains behind the how-to but Jasper was the one who did it in the end. He's the one who completed what needed to be done once Raven was out of commission and he was the one who physically set off the fuel. Clarke physically pulled a lever this finale but Jasper was the figurative puller. Cool.

+ Another forgotten aspect is just how bloodthirsty everyone was and how absolutely willing they were to murder all the people.

+ Some great visual moments - Abby and Kane standing outside for the first time in a beautiful picturesque lake and mountain view, the devastation of grounder skeletons and ash after the fire, the impact of the clean, white, modern Mount Weather in contrast with literally everywhere else in the show.

+ I can't remember the impact this had on me at the time but Clarke leaving Finn and Bellamy outside, sacrificing them even though she literally didn't have any other choice, hit me a lot this time. Especially looking back from the end of the show. The sacrifices she has yet to make, including being the one to personally kill both Finn and Bellamy, is just - ouch. It only makes me want to hug her even more.

+ Finn's idea to use the reapers was brilliant. Good job him.

+ I still loved Jaha co-opting Kane's dramatic self-sacrifice moment and his lovely goodbye to Abby was genuinely touching still. "Don't worry Abby you'll see your daughter soon. And I'll see my son." was so good.

+ Octavia is such a baby warrior!

2x11

+ The end remains awesome. Clarke et al freeing Emerson was powerful, the confrontation between Clarke and Abby was amazing, I loved Kane supporting Clarke and breaking the stalemate between them, I loved Clarke using her own words against her mom, I loved Clarke's final smack down of Emerson.

+ Stuck out that when Clarke walked away at the end all the Grounders immediately followed her without waiting for Indra or even looking at her.

+ Maya was so brave. Her choosing to be 'all in' with helping Skykru even after watching, helping, Bellamy to kill Lovejoy and realising the costs it could take was honestly amazing.

+ Rather great to watch Bellamy and Echo's first meeting knowing where their relationship went. It was a pretty good meeting too from Echo spitting at him to her helping him murder a guy and him promising to return for her. It makes me wish I cared about them more. (Though as with everything Bellamy related they and she deserved more.)

+ Jasper was very in-line this episode with how Clarke would react. What I'm getting from this rewatch is that Jasper's bitchiness/judgment/condemnation of Clarke in the following seasons is damn hypocritical. His anger and grief are understandable but Jasper is frankly just as in the shit as it were as Clarke.

+ It stuck out to me that while Raven picked up the radio she didn't try and talk to Bellamy herself but rather she immediately passed it over to Clarke.

+ Loved the Clarke/Bellamy radio talk. Loved Clarke Raven with their pricklyness with each other while still working together well. Love that little twitch of a smile Raven gets when Clarke hands her the radio and tells her 'you're up'

2x16

+ "You won't do it." - Cage
"You don't know me very well." - Clarke

LOL truer words

+ Aw I really do feel bad for Jasper. Even beyond Maya he came up with a risky plan to save the day, putting his life on the line, and before be could execute it Clarke and the others acted first. I understand his anger, I do, and how the 'what if' of it haunts him. But there is no way he would have succeeded I'm sorry. He was no subtle enough in his approach. Cage approached him but stayed far enough back, with two guards with guns forward and to either side of him. Jasper had a knife. A knife that he was very obviously holding at his side with intent. And he is not the warrior Octavia has made herself. He was never getting to Cage.

+ Again Clarke made the final plan and helped carry it out but as always she didn't do it alone. Bellamy and Monty were right there with her. She solicited other ideas and got nothing. They, especially Monty, made it possible. This isn't all on her. This is such a reoccurring situation and even more then when I was watching I wish it was addressed. Clarke may have made the plans and pushed to enact them and helped BUT she always asked for better plans and she was never usually doing it alone. ALL of them were there at various times. ALL of the helped to make those plans reality. A lot of time they benefited/survived because of her. I want retroactive acknowledgement of that!
