Nope

I liked it. It took a bit to get into because it felt a little disjointed but it all came together in the end.

+ I didn't really find it horror. It absolutely had horror elements. There were some super disturbing/upsetting moments - the second flashback to Gordy's House and Gordy hitting and eating a still conscious Mary Jo was really upsetting, the crowd getting sucked up and watching the start of the digestive process was disturbing and hearing them still screaming hours later during the house attack and realising those sounds we'd heard earlier were the screams of it's victims/food was terrible - but it definitely felt more action thriller than straight horror.

+ I loved the reveal that it wasn't an alien craft but an alien creature. That it wasn't a sapient species visiting us but an animal come to a new territory. I don't think I've come across that before but it was a great twist to expectation. Jean Jacket as this flying sand dollar was cool enough (and I love the idea of it creating a cloud around it as camouflage) but when it opened up (like a jellyfish/betta/octopus) into it's threat display it was stunning. Very unusual but great looking creature. Loved the square eye (like a camera!)

+ The barn 'alien' encounter scene was very tense and well done. Good job to those kids for some A+ acting!

+ The house attack sequence was also excellent. OJ leaning out his door to look up and then immediately shutting it and going 'Nope' made me laugh. I was right there with him.

+ Em was great. A bit much at first but she definitely grew on me. I loved her getting to finally 'break' a Jean Jacket by the end.

+ I felt for Jupe. It was very clear he'd never really dealt with what happened on Gordy's Home. I do feel like there was an obvious point of connection for Jupe as a character that wasn't actually made. Jupe talks as if Jean Jacket is an alien spacecraft and he thinks there are alien 'Viewers' but it feels like it would tie in better and make sense that Jupe had figured out Jean Jacket was a creature but Gordy 'letting' him live gave him overconfidence in dealing with another wild animal thus leading to his death.

+ I wonder if Jean Jacket took the people when it came to Jupiter's Claim because Lucky didn't leave the box or if it was because it was stopped up by the decoy horse and was mad about it?

Enjoyable enough dinosaur movie.

+ I liked the look of the movie. The environment and the dinosaurs were great.

+ Koa was great. I liked Koa & Mills. That initial moment of bonding over the berries was very cute. I enjoyed them.

+ Are we supposed to assume they went back in time or are they a different species than humans? Or are humans not evolved on Earth?
