I liked it.

+ I knew So-yeon/Nan-do were endgame and so started the series already slightly disappointed because I like human/robot, and So-yeon/Holo were great! But the show did a great job with So-yeon and Nan-do. I loved the build of their relationship. One thing I thought was great was that Nan-do fell in love first (such great pining) and then was completely upfront with his feelings without trying to push them onto her.

I think what worked best for though was that even with So-yeon and Nan-do's feelings for each other and eventual get together So-yeon's feelings for Holo remained and he continued to be very important to her. I enjoyed So-yeon dealing with the commercial Holo and how very wrong it felt and her rejection of him because he was not Holo.

The show also spent a bunch of time in the latter half exploring Nan-do and Holo's relationship, and just how important Holo was to Nan-do. Nan-do breaking down crying at losing Holo was heartbreaking.

And overall it was about the three of them and the love they had between all of them. At one point So-yeon tells him (when Holo is content to step back to let them be together) that "No, we also need to be with you." Holo overcomes Magic Mirror's reprograming to save their lives. And at the end, even a year later, Nan-do is still working to find enough of him to save and both of them are still waiting for him to return.

And then he does return! That is the true happy ending because without him it can't be. I loved it.

+ I got deeply annoyed when Holo brushed aside the idea that So-yeon could really love him and theorized that she actually loved Nan-do. Yeah, some of her interactions with Nan-do informed her feelings for Holo because their actions were one in her mind but so much of Holo himself is what attracted her and it felt so dismissive and disrespectful to ignore that. It makes complete sense that she would fall for him!

1) she has been alone and isolated for so long, opening her to forming quick connections, 2) he made her life immeasurably better by helping her overcome her face-blindness thus allowing her to finally form bonds with other and the gratitude for that alone was heavy, 3) he made her life happier (the roof parties, the cooking, the companionship, the unwavering support) all of which are things that people look for and appreciate in relationships. All of that all together, of course she'd fall for him!

+ The truth about Nan-do's mother - not suicide, killed for Holo - was obvious right from the beginning but I still liked the reveal. I really loved her expression when little Nan-do called her mom for the first time and her joy. I also ended up liking how So-yeon and her face blindness tied in (also obvious) but well done.

+ My biggest question on Nan-do's mother is how the hell the police came up with suicide from that crime scene? She was smothered which you'd think would come up. But even if they did no investigating and took what they saw as truth how do you suicide over accidental death?! She flung herself through a railing and down a hill to kill herself? HOW. I'd buy accident via broken railing and falling (and bad police work) but suicide? Yeesh.

+ Baek Nam-gyu added himself to a list of character I hate. Ugh, the worst. By the end I was on a constant refrain of murder him, murder him! Him getting taken down by his own words was probably for the best however.

+ It was frustrating how things seemed to slide off Nam-gyu and he was so certain that his actions would have no consequences. He literally tried to murder a cop (in a very dramatic way)! Was that just not investigated?? He kidnapped So-yeon and tried to murder both her and Nan-do! Is there really literally no evidence? That building has to have security cameras.

+ Nan-do breaking up with So-yeon and cutting her out of the loop when everything went to shit was as infuriating as that nonsense often is. Also he states "it'll be easier if she's not infatuated" but harshly cutting her off is not going to do that!

+ I had a super hard time buying Nan-do playing Holo while So-yeon was staying in his house. The potential to make a mistake was too great. Like when he followed her into her bedroom and then was going to leave he lucked out by her calling him back because how was he planning to get through that shut door?

+ I liked Yoo-jin and her relationship with Nan-do. Her frustration with him was amusing and her care lovely.

+ Did her parents know he faked his death or did she keep it from them too? Because if they didn't know, ouch, that must have been a painful family reveal!

+ "Do you like him? You're not related by blood." WTF, Chan-sung?? Dude what are you doing? She's complaining/talking about Nan-do so much because now she finally can and she trusts you! And then you throw that trust in her face because of jealously by accusing of her wanting her brother, and implying they aren't actually siblings? Dude.

+ So-yeon's mother was very lovely. My favourite moment was in the finale when So-yeon and Nan-do coming home late from a date and her teasing them (why are you back so early, lol, his reaction, her laughing at him.) I loved So-yeon breaking down at finally seeing her face again and them crying in each other's arms.

+ The capitalist hell that Magic Mirror turned Holo into was just sad to see.
