+ I called it! I'm surprised that they revealed it to the audience so soon. What I love about it being Jin-mook is that he really is a match for Dong-sik in deception. He's employed Dong-sik's same methods to confusion people and control what they think of him which is great.

+ Is Min-jung really alive? Sadly I'm skeptical. They certainly threw in some Dong-sik shade with that trip to the dresser in the alley. But if he sent the message what was his purpose? What is this game supposed to reveal?

+ I am so sad for Dong-sik (and for poor Min-jung who was maybe murdered by the father). This is going to be so devistating for him. Of course this is supposing that he isn't covering for Jin-mook. I still haven't thought of a reasonable explanation for the scene of him plpacing Min-jung's fingertips though I accomplice doesn't fit.

... if Dong-sik does have Min-jung's phone then he had to have gotten before she was discovered gone. So say he went to the house the night she disappeared to give her her keys back. Instead he finds her fingers. So he takes her phone and the fingertips. (And the towel? He seemed surprised that was gone.) He's now suspicious of Jin-mook, or more so. He's not someone who approaches things directly like Joo-won. He lays traps. He also doesn't trust the other cops. He knows personally how things can go wrong when they investigate. So he's not only leading Joo-won to find the right conclusion but the whole station. Okay, nevermind this now makes complete sense!

+ Hmm. If Jin-mook even did it. I've been placing a lot of trust in these flashbacks but could they be something other then reality and the show is using them as misdirection? I kind of hope not, because that would feel cheap and like the show actively lying to throw us off the track. Of course if the murder flashback wasn't true that doesn't absolve Jin-mook since he revealed a bunch of creepiness and long-standing deception outside that.

+ Joo-won's missing mother is an interesting thread to throw out there. He stated that he never looked for her but I don't know that I believe him. He transfered to town to hunt down Lee Geum-hwa's killer but why was he so interested in Dong-sik in the first place? Could it be his missing mother?

+ Jae-yi's insistence that Dong-sik isn't like Joo-won in suspecting everyone at first seems wrong because he very much seems to. But actually Jae-yi who knows him so well is right. I don't think that Dong-sik considers either Jae-yi as a true suspect.

+ Aw, poor Ji-hwa that's a rough emotional place to be in. She's absolutely not a monster. More her emotions are really understandable as does her being so torn up by them.
