Episode 16
Overall I liked the series. Namkoong Min in particular was excellent.
That said I was a bit disappointed in the finale.
+ In general I was disappointed with how they used Jamie. There's my long-standing disappointment that Jamie didn't have Jung-woo's powers/strength and then they removed them before we really got to see her do much with them. Learning she was his twin only made it worse. But far more than that I hate that Jamie refused to leave and wanted to see this through with Jung-woo and then the show had her do basically nothing, get left out of all the plotting and then get kidnapped to be used as a hostage, and then in the big end confrontation she was literally only there to appeal to Jung-woo and react to him. What a waste.
+ I didn't like that Jung-woo had a split personality himself and that the monster Ji-hui had called him was literally a monstrous other version of himself.
+ Boo to Jung-woo leaving Jamie to think he died.
+ Why the heck wouldn't have the cops stormed the building? Why bring in SWAT and then simply stand around outside? It made no sense to me.
+ So I guess the two old people hooked up to the machines weren't important in the end. One was, I assume, 'Jang-hwan''s wife? But who was the man?
+ I am glad that Jung-woo survived. The sign indicates that he still has his powers, the blue sucker indicates ??? Does he still need to medicate to survive? It's been 3 months - is the lesion still killing him? Why blue instead of pink? Blue like the serum... as if he is maybe immortal now himself and no longer dying?
+ I liked Jung-woo's goodbye to Jamie. I liked him hoping that she would be happy and then closing the door. I liked Hye-won showing up. The whole scene was nicely dramatic.
+ Hyun-Hee remained creepy and terrible to the end which I liked. I also liked that Kong Il-Do remained unwavering in his certainty that he'd done nothing wrong.
+ I appreciate that Jung-woo took out Jung-hwan by causing him to question 'reality' aka Hyun-Hee's serum which in turn led to his death.
+ Min-ho's euphoria rapidly changing to apprehension and too slow growing suspicion was well done. I appreciate he ended up dying to the formula that he killed so many kids to try and create.
+ I liked the short scene where all the (male) survivors introduced themselves to each other by their numbers.
+ I liked Hye-won's resignation being refused and her being made team leader.
