So the Jun Wu revelation was shocking and all that but the biggest 'wait what' moment was for sure him turning the Heavenly Capital into a freaking power ranger transformer and there being a massive not-robot statue fight... what??? It was hilarious. I never saw it coming. The four martial gods turning themselves into a giant sword for him to wield, lol.

I'm pleased that I was right about what was going on with Wuyong prince/White No Face even if I didn't realise Jun Wu was involved. But was there any hints/foreshadowing? I can't think of anything.

I like Xie Lian's complicated feelings towards Jun Wu.

I love that Xie Lian's trust in Hue CHeng is so absolute that any time Hue Cheng asks or tells him to do something he just does it without any further consideration, not even a pause. 'gege come here' or 'gege go lower', it doesn't matter what he says, or how tense the situation is, Xie Lian believes in Hua Cheng so completely I love it.

I also love how Xie Lian turns to Hue Cheng so conssistantly for comfort whenever they're in a tense situation and Xie lian is worried or unsure of what to do.

"He was just one person, but to Xie Lian, it felt like the entire world was supporting him." ♡ Also Hua Cheng telling him "Nothing in this world can stop you." and that having such impact that it gives him strength enough to fight back at a low point. Hua Cheng's words have such weight to them in Xie Lian.

Hue CHeng acting sad and upset to get Xie Lian to give him a proper goodbye (and then his smile into the kiss) was so great.

Xie Lian's shyness and Hua CHeng's increasing pushing at his limits, One of my favourite moments was Xie Lian randomly reaching out to grab a passing god to use as a shield so he could kiss Hua Cheng.

I enjoy how everyone who learns about Hua Cheng's history with Xie Lian and his devotion to him immediately is freaked out about that level of obsession and meanwhile Xie Lian is all "????" at those reactions.

I love State Preceptor Mei Nianqing. His grotchety grumbling about everything but especially Hue Cheng. His clear love of Xie Lian and attempts to support and help him - especially his support of Xie Lian's relationship with Hua Cheng (who he does not approve of) because "Men or women, it doesn't matter as long as you're happy." but also wonderful was when he kicked a god who was complaining about Xie Lian and threatened him, that was great.

I was really happy to see Shi Qingxuan again. I didn't think that He Xuan would hurt him but I do find it strange that he pretty much immediately just abandoned him in the human realm? I did like him showing up later and while cold and despite hitting Qingxuan, I wonder if him return the fan was also symbolic of him letting go of him grudge against him? I hope this isn't the last we've seen of the two of the together because I need more closure than this!

Yin Yu chosing to do the right thing was great. I liked that whole scene. I was all ready to be sad about his death but the reveal that his soul could be in the shackle makes me certain we will see him again.

Okay so Ling Wen chose to side with the evil Emperor but can we really blame her? He at least recognised her superior abilities! I feel like they should all just consdering it even. Plus they so obviously need her running things in heaven! I hope she fine and back in her palace at the end. Team Ling Wen!

Honestly I felt really bad for the Crown Prince of Wuyong. He was doing his best to help his people, to prevent deaths, to do the right thing. Very much like Xie Lian. And like Xie Lian he didn't get the support he needed from the other gods, he got turned on by his followers when he couldn't instantly make things better for everyone in a very difficult situation. And then it all went wrong. Poor guy.

I was amused that Xie Lian was worried about messing up Black Water's home during a giant statue fight with Jun Wu, oh Xie Lian. And then Hua Cheng's only response being "don't worry, he owes me money" lol.

I'm very curious about how Xie Lian would do against Jun Wu with his two shackles removed.

I appreciate that in his attempt to escape Mount Tonglu Xie Lian tried to avoid destroying the capital city and all the history it represented, and then when he did accidentally destroy buildings he felt bad about it.

I will give it to Qi Rong that while he is the abusive, childish, petulant dimwit as always him choosing to save Guzi was a step in the right direction. I knew the kid was growing on him.
