Excellent episode.
+ I always love when this show messes around with time and they did it in such a fun way this episode. I realised that Cassie had come back when she had that moment of weakness but I love the reveal that she had always come back and that her returning to save Cole is probably what got him poisoned (a hostage keeping him from shooting, him choosing her to get the cure). They all made themselves a loop and I enjoyed the untangling of it immensely.
+ Gale! Gale survived! Amazing. I was excited when Jennifer was like what if and assumed she was going to go back and save him but I think he probably saved himself by taking that picture and protecting himself. Also now that we know Athan wasn't the Witness, didn't want to kill people and did care about his parents then it definitely seems like he purposefully drew that in order to save Gale which aww. Although I have to assume he always did it because Gale was pretty important this episode and left a mark in killing the Tall Man's father. I really liked his goodbye with Cole and the handshake and smiles, and I loved Gale's reaction after they'd disappeared - "That is just so goddamn cool." yes it is.
+ Absolutely NOT Cassandra Railly, no! Bad thoughts! If the show has her deciding to side with Olivia in order to save keep her relationship with Cole (and save Athan) I am going to be so mad. Oh no, Olivia told Cassie she would be with her at the end and she couldn't fight fate ... I don't like this.
+ Deacon's wink! I knew Jennifer was right! I'm not sure that taking the weapon to Olivia is the right choice rather than passing it to Jennifer but I am so relieved. In the deleted scene Cole is very determined to believe that Deacon has turned on them. Again not trusting Jennifer's words, which you'd think he'd learn. Trust Jennifer! I like that at least Cassie believes.
+ Was Cole's dead beach vision a hint of him actually getting some semblance of a happy ending? Or rather they since he can't imagine one without Cassie? I have to be honest in that I have no idea what a happy ending looks like for this show or these characters. I have no idea how it would even come together or make sense, or even what ending I want for them. Cause like I love Cole/Ramse but they became brothers in large part because of the pandemic. I adore Cole/Katarina but they only became family because of the end of the world. Where does Athan fit in this? Would Cole/Cassie lose their friendship with Jennifer? Also also isn't Cassie quite a bit older than Cole without time travel? I don't know. I love them all as a group! A made family! I can't see how that could ever be.
+ Cole being so certain that he can't die and then a loop being needed to keep him alive. Hmm.
+ I really enjoyed Katarina and Jennifer's brainstorming session.
+ Jennifer trying to play spy and cloak and daggers with Gale and him not playing along was funny. Poor Jennifer she just wants to have some fun!
+ I enjoyed Jennifer and Gale. His "Are you insane?" and her "Yes", LOL. They were fun.
+ LOL to Jennifer's "it's oops loop" and her aggravation to realise she created a loop.
+ I enjoyed Cole/Cassie at the start of their mission. "bang bang loop loop" made me laugh. Cassie quietly calling bullshit at Cole simply wanting some air but still going with him. Cassie calling him 'present day asshole' lol.
+ Poor Cassie reliving that moment of finding Cole, her grief as Cole is dying, and hearing her grief then.
+ Cole and Cassie both rejecting Jennifer's desire to come with them was honestly really sad. She was excited, they shut her down so fast and hard and she was clearly genuinely upset afterwards as they walked away. I wish people would stop disregarding her like this!
+ I wish we'd gotten a little more reaction from Cole/Cassie at Gale being alive even though they had a lot of distracting shit happening right then.
