+ I love that moment when Joe is so terrified while tied to that chair, shaking in fear, knowing his past has caught up to him and his family is going to pay -- and then he learns this is about Kyle and the fear is gone. He knows they aren't a danger to him and his family. He's calm now. Calculating. And no longer paralyzed by fear he quickly figures out how to escape and get the upper hand. The way he looks at the the man babbling about hierarchies and plankton was so good. Another excellent juxtaposition scene.

+ I was surprised in a very pleasant way that Joe came clean with Jules pretty much completely about his past. I wasn't expecting it and he could have easily made up an excuse to head back to England. Instead he warned Jules about the danger he'd put him and his kids in, and gave him a backup plan for safety. Which, I love that he had that duffle bag and plan in place to protect them all ready. Jules was way kinder to Joe over this situation then he possibly should have been.

+ One thing I liked about their confrontation was that while Joe was very unspecific about what he did he was firm on "I did a bad thing" which is not as, I guess, denying of responsibility as it could be. He could have tried to brush off the severity by saying he was a thief who stole millions. That's much less then murder, much more acceptable I think to the average person. Except of course he is a murderer too. I like that he didn't try and brush it away like that.

+ I loved how Joe approached the whole awkward discussion with the kids over their grandmother. Honest, forthright but still keeping it to a level they could understand and not criticizing/bad-mouthing their grandmother. I was impressed.

Joe: How after being with you mom for so long your dad could fall in love with me.
Bud: Well he did. It's not really that complicated

This was great too. Prejudice/bigotry/homophobia are taught and learned.

+ I liked the different side of Specialist this episode gave us. It was interesting to see the genuine care and respect she gave to the deer when killing it versus how she has none for the many many humans she kills. This episode actually made me like Specialist. Her getting taken in by Officer's tale of using pigeons to find her was weirdly sweetly naive? I felt for her when she quietly stated she'd liked her home as it went up in the flames she set.

+ Officer is a terrible person (poor Sami) but she's good at what she does and enjoys it and I'm enjoying watching her. I like her and I was glad she got away. I really liked her situational awareness in realising the Killer was coming up behind her. I liked that she tracked down Specialist for help. Also I like that she went to Specialist (the reasoning is great, if a risk considering how dangerous she is) instead of going to Joe (cause there is no way she doesn't know where he is, and probably all about his life.)
