Fairly Legal Thoughts

iaria- I really love how Kate and Lauren have each other’s back this season. Lauren squashing the DA’s attempt to leak the news of Justin’s affair and Kate helping Lauren out of legal trouble were both fabulous.
- Kate and Lauren standing shoulder to shoulder against Saunders was a great visual.
- I love the idea of Kate moving in with Lauren but the show has done surprisingly little with it even though there is so much potential there. In fact you could take that plot point out completely and it wouldn't change anything. It's very disappointing.
- Ben is irritating and condescending and rude but I do actually like him. His back and forth with Kate is fun.
That said I think that the show introduced Ben too early. Not only has he been taking away from the Kate/Lauren interactions but he's usurped Lauren's place as the person Kate is antagonistic with and I don't think that part of Kate and Lauren's relationship should be over yet. I mean the last season ended with Lauren firing Kate. They're not BFF or anything yet but I feel like their relationship has progressed faster than it might otherwise have.
- Justin’s one night stand was an unexpected reveal but I didn’t mind how it played out. The scene in 2x06 with his jealousy over Ben and then random babbling attempt to ask her on a date (?) was pretty adorable.
- Leo is great as always but I found it weird how he went from Lauren's assistant in the first episode to being back with Kate immediately. Presumably Lauren hired him because she needed his help so did she really have nothing to say about his switch in bosses?
