Brave New World, Part 1

I actually did enjoy this episode for the most part. There were just a lot of little things that bugged me and apparently I had my suspension of disbelief (always necessary for this show) turned off.

+ Uh, was Olivia trying to say she was pregnant? Because that was kind of what I got from her but then Peter didn't ask so... she simply wants kids?

+ Considering how seriously the whole combustion-from-movement condition is Jessica was moving around way too much, imo.

+ I really liked Jessica.

+ I loved Olivia saving Jessica. Superhero Olivia is the best.

+ I figured that the nanities were another test for Olivia and was glad we were finally going to learn why Jones keeps testing Olivia's powers. Didn't he say something about her 'not understanding just what she's capable of'? I've wanted to know since the first season what his end goal with Olivia was and how he even knew that she was more special than even the other Cortexiphan kids. So when that proved to not be what was happening I was really disappointed. And then he died. We are never going to learn what the hell he wanted to do with Olivia's powers are we?

+ I was doing a fair amount of 'uh, wth' when after saving Jessica's life Olivia - chats with Walter and then walks Jessica to a car. Seriously? She should have immediately been on her way by to the Clane Center to save the others. Even with the antidote she should have been heading back there just in case.

+ Olivia took a weird lesson from the situation with Jessica: that one encounter with them and her child almost became an orphan. Um, it's kind of the other way? Without meeting them Jessica would have died.

+ I really don't think that Bell would write his real name in a visitor log after faking his own death. Him not being in there isn't really proof of anything.

+ "What's a guy got to do to get a good home cooked meal around here?" - Peter. Cook it himself?

+ Olivia controlling Peter instead of Jones makes... less sense to me? I mean presumably everything she did with his body was something that Peter could do himself but wasn't able and thus why would it work with her in control? Wouldn't it make far more sense for her to have taken control of Jones's body?

+ The Astrid/Walter scenes were lovely.

+ Astrid was awesome at the end. We don't usually get to see her kick ass like that and it was great. (Oh missed opportunities - how I wish amber!Astrid had been amber!Olivia's partner instead of them bringing in Lincoln.)

+ I refuse to believe that they would kill Astrid. She was fine in the 4x19 future probably-not AU and I'm assuming that we're going to be dealing with that next season and the next episode will show how the team got trapped in amber. And she seemed perfectly well them.

+ Speaking of 4x19 I wonder if Bell's whole scheme has something to do with fighting the Observers?
