White Collar 2x13 'Countermeasures'

• I loved that when Peter hung up on Neal with a “find another way” Neal immediately called El (he had to have her on speed dial) and got her to agree. Peter’s reactions in the foreground to their call were hilarious and I just love that Neal did that.

• I liked Elizabeth helping them at the dinner by distracting June and that she caught Ford’s reaction to the photo album and acted accordingly. I love when she gets involved in their work.

• I loved El making Peter apologising to Satchmo. :D

• I liked Mozzie being all protective of June and the fact that they have a book club (El so needs to join that).

• I liked the Neal/June dance at the end. It was sweet.

• I loved the comparison of the Ford/Byron/June and Neal/Peter/Elizabeth relationships.

• I was really confused by Neal’s immediate suspicion and distrust towards Ford. He pretty much distrusted him the second he saw him and considering this is Neal, not Peter, I was left going ‘wha?’ in confusion. I ended up going with instinct and possessiveness over June and being over-protective as a reason for it. But it was very annoying that Neal just assumed that June was being played, treated her pretty much as a victim and then was proven right. This is June who took Neal in and was married to Byron and knows everything about both of them, and Ford’s past, so why the automatic assumption that she would have no idea what Ford was planning? I’d have liked it better if she had known the truth.

Fairly Legal 1x04 ‘Bo Me Once’

This was my favourite episode thus far. Both Kate and Lauren were fabulous.

• I love how Kate never ever backs down. I loved her pulling the fake gun on Bo, I squeed over her not moving or looking away from Bo when he drove his truck right at her and her setting up of Bo was fabulous. She was so great this episode.

• Lauren handling sexist Fisher was also fantastic. I love her. I love how contained and elegant in her demeanour she is. When people are rude or mean to her face she doesn’t blink, or if she does it’s only for a second. I loved her sitting down at the table for lunch after Fisher fired her and was an ass and I loved her getting drunk with him, playing pool and laying out a logical arguments for why he should stay at the firm. Her firing him was great. I’d say good riddance to him but clearly keeping all of Teddy’s clients and doing just as well as he did is a point of pride for her. And I really want her to succeed.

• I also continue to love the Lauren/Kate relationship. We really got to see how they are similar – they don’t back down, they don’t accept defeat, and they refuse to allow other people see them sweat or crumble. I’m thinking of Bo confronting Kate outside the office and Kate’s “Really? (laugh) I’m having a blast” after he gets physically threatening and in her face. It’s only when she’s walking away that she allows her expression to show that he got to her because, by god, she’d never let him see. And then basically every moment with Lauren is like that. Their “God, she bugs me” at the beginning amused me and while I’m enjoying their contentious relationship I can’t wait for them to become friends. Or even watching them becoming friends and realising it and seeing how they react to that.

Bones 6x13 ‘The Daredevil in the Mold’

I’m not really sure what I feel about this episode. There were things I liked but Booth and his reactions weren’t one of them.

• Even though I like Hannah/Booth I’m actually kind of pleased how things played out in this episode after his proposal. Clearly it was a bad idea from the beginning because it wasn’t a choice Booth actually made. He felt offended and upset with what Sweets said about him and decided on the spot to prove him wrong. I believe he does love Hannah but the proposal wasn’t something he had thought over and I was actually dreading where this could have gone. I was expecting her to accept and then either a) she dies, or b) before they get married Hannah realises Booth loves Brennan more and leaves him.

Instead we get her being very sad and turning him down. I was not expecting that! I loved her “I’m just not the marrying kind” and that she refused to allow Booth to ultimatum her into a doing something she didn’t want. I liked that she states right out that she hadn’t been hiding the fact that she didn’t want to get married. “I’ve said it plenty of times before. I guess you weren’t listening.” But at the same time I like that she’s not giving up and I hope we see her again.

• I find myself wondering that if they loved each other so much why couldn’t one of them compromise? Why couldn’t Hannah agree to marry him or why couldn’t Booth agree to forget the proposal? Why is it such a dividing line for them? I mean I love that Hannah said no and that she refused to compromise on her desires for a guy. I understand her point of view. I’m having a harder time with Booth’s rejection of his and Hannah’s relationship. Clearly, from his rant at the end to Brennan, it hit some underlying issues for him but his reaction still seemed extreme. Why did they have to get married once he brought it up?

• That final Brennan/Booth scene also left me uncertain about how to feel. Booth was so upset but at the same time he kind of felt... mean in his drunkness. I suppose it fits with how angry he stated he was but at the same time not really. It left me uneasy. Why anger instead of sorrow or hurt or uncertainty about why he keeps being rejected? I was uncomfortable. Plus I just couldn’t connect with his complaint because both Brennan and Hannah do want him. Brennan confessed her love a few episodes ago, with the implication that she wanted to be with him, and Hannah was very clear in this episode that despite turning down his proposal she was in love with him and wanted to stay together. The rejections by them weren’t the end for the relationships. He was the one who chose to not pursue and end the relationships not the women.

• Booth throwing the engagement ring into the water made me go ‘noooo!’ – my god, what a waste of thousands of dollars and a pretty ring! Okay, so actually I didn’t really like the ring and he certainly didn’t put any thought into picking it out but I just hate the waste. He could have given it to Sweets for Daisy, kept it in a drawer, sold it on e-bay, or just gave it to the first person he saw. There are so many better ways he could have dealt with it.

• I did really like that Hannah called Brennan at the end.
