Jane By Design and Community

iariaFor the last week I've been watching two shows neither of which were ones I was supposed to be watching. Instead of catching up on the many shows I'm behind on or that are actually on my to watch list I instead started Jane By Design and then watched the first season of Community.
Jane By Design
I've loved the concept since Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead and while I don't love this show I am enjoying it. Strangely my biggest stumbling block with the series is believing in the whole concept. I found it a lot easier buying Christina Applegate's character pretending to be an adult to get a great job and getting away with it than I buy Jane doing the same.
Part of it is that Christina's character was only dealing with the job and not juggling it with school and having a parental figure around like Jane is. It doesn't seem at all likely that Jane could be doing everything she is. Another part of it is that Jane seems so young and naive especially against her co-workers.
+ I'm a bit surprised by the fact that between the three possible in-show romantic possibilities for Jane - Jane/Nick, Jane/Jeremy, and Jane/Billy - it's Jane/Billy I like best. But I really love them together and their friendship is wonderful.
+ I only wish we got to see Jane supporting Billy and going out of her way just once to help him like he does for her almost every episode.
+ My favourite character is probably India. I like how she's inwardly vulnerable and outwardly aggressive and bitchy.

I really like it! I have previously seen some clips and I've even watched a couple random episodes (a paintball one, a zombie one). I thought they were fun but for whatever reason didn't really get into them. Watching from the beginning however makes all the difference.
+ Abed is my favourite character but I do like all of them and I love them as a group. Even Pierce, who is my least favourite, would be missed if he left.
+ I don't actually ship any pairing. My favourite two relationships are Abed/Jeff and Jeff/Britta. I love the friendships between those characters. With Britta/Jeff, at the moment at least, I like them best as best friends with benefits instead of as a romantic couple.
Of course I love Abed/Troy, they're delightful, though I don't really ship them like I was expecting to. I'm intrigued by the idea of Abed/Troy/Annie, Annie/Jeff and Britta/Annie. There are actually so many hints for all kinds of pairings on the show that I'd be open for almost any pairing, excepting Pierce and Shirley ones. Well, maybe Shirley/Britta though like most everyone else I'm more interested in their friendship then a romance.
