NCIS, TBBT and Project Runway Thoughts

iariaI watched NCIS 10x01 and was less than impressed. Actually I was bored. And Gibbs killing Dearing at the end really irritated me. Seriously show? Ugh. The show does realise that's called murder, right? Oh and why the hell didn't Fornell's team simply arrest Dearing on the street? That was dumb. Also I found I didn't really care about any of the characters? I liked Jimmy/Ducky, Jimmy in the morgue as Ducky 2.0 with Abby. Oh and that Gibbs/Fornell scene at Gibbs house. But mostly I was just really unmoved and I don't know what happened to my love for these characters.
The Big Bang Theory 6x02 was excellent. It was really fun and funny. Minus the Howard scenes, which I mostly skipped, everything worked wonderfully.
- I love the Penny/Amy/Bernadette friendship. I liked them judging Penny for sleeping with Leonard and bugging her about it. Bernadette's snarkiness was great. I love that she has girlfriends now especially ones who call out her bad decisions. Also Amy's "It's so cute when she tries." could have been too condescending but mostly it made me smile.
- This was a good Sheldon/Leonard episode as well. Sheldon being torn out of loyalty towards, and worry for Leonard, was great. Also funny. I liked his various methods of trying to help from talking up Leonard's good points to Penny to encouraging Leonard to explore other options.
- Leonard can be hit or miss for me, though mostly I like him, and this episode was a hit as far as him being likable.
- I loved the Sheldon/Penny scene and Sheldon’s sincere “Penny don’t hurt my friend” Also I loved Sheldon calling Amy to give her a heads up about Penny and his casual attitude when she informs him that Penny is already yelling at her.
- Amy and Sheldon at the movies was fun.
- I liked Stuart as a replacement Howard though "please don't ruin this for me" made me feel really sad for him .
- I feel bad for Leonard but I really hope that Penny accepts how she feels and breaks up with him soon. Frankly that's the only good outcome I can see considering what she had to say about her feelings for him and their relationship. I think them as a couple is already dead for Penny. But Leonard is her friend, and she does love him, and she knows how much more he loves her and doesn't want to hurt him only the longer she drags this out the more likely everything is going to go badly.
Project Runway 10x10
+ Chris was great. I loved “AKA you’re all fucked! Change all your fabrics! Get in the van!” LOL
+ I also really liked how friendly and nice everyone was being. Especially the way everyone was helping Melissa.
Dmitry – I really like it. The shape is great. I like blue-black shimmer. The fringe is excellent. The cutouts/asymmetrical design is visually arresting.
Melissa – Nice. I think it’s very eye-catching. The bright pink and black sequin colour blocking looks great. I liked the hat. It’d work well from a distance. I’m very amused by the accidental ‘1’ on the chest.
Ven – I love the colour. It’s pretty and shimmery. The skirt is very flowy. But the cutout is barely noticeable and from a distance it could be plain and boring.
Elena – Oh wow. Yikes. That is so shiny! And very... there is just so much happening! But you know – Rockettes so I don't know that it's that far out there?
Chris – It is very cool and pretty. I love the bead stars. The only issue is that from a distance I think you might not see any of the detail and it will come off bland. Excellent detail up-close but a silver mass from far away.
Sonjia – I like the feather skirt and love the colours. But the top is so blah and the feather shoulder pads are...kind of weird? Plus despite likely the skirt I don't know how great it would be to dance in. It doesn't really have any movement or give.
Fabio – I love the silver fabric – it’s very shiny and looks like armour. The beading is all right. I don’t like the matte grey fabric at the neckline.
+ My choices: Dmitry to win. Sonjia out.
