2x01 'Destiny'

• I love that Emily kept in touch with Charlotte (even if only via post card) and that Charlotte trusts her so much that she would tell Emily her greatest secret. I'm sure part of the reason for the post cards was Emily keeping an 'in' with the Grayson's but I like to think that it was also because Charlotte is her sister. I hope this season really expands on their relationship.

• Nolan/Emily remain wonderful. I love him moving in with her.

• I loved Nolan and Jack's hug hello. Nolan seemed to be into it a bit more than Jack was comfortable with. Hmm.

• The Emily/Ashley/Daniel/Nolan scene at the party was excellent. I want more of that.

• It's clear that Daniel is very much not over Emily (and still very hurt) while Emily's feelings are more opaque. I hope the show does something interesting with them.

• I think I'm finally accepting that Emily is never going to care about Amily. Sigh.

• I don't get why Declan needs to move onto the boat if Jack moves back above the bar. That makes no sense to me. Also I realise that Jack has his pride but Nolan would lend him as much money as he needed if he asked.

• The Takeda recast was jarring. I'd rather the show had kept him off-screen until they could get the first actor back.

2x02 'Resurrection'

"I want a partner. That I can control." - Nolan Hee. He's been spending too much time with Emily.

• I really liked the scene where Emily takes Charlotte to see 'Amanda'. I think Emily slowly beginning to angst over Charlotte starting to have a sisterly relationship and bond with Amily will work for me even more than her angst over Amily/Jack. I hope the show goes further into that.

• I hated the end of the episode. It actually made me angry. For two reasons:

1) That Apprentice Guy saved Emily. She's hardly perfect or indestructible but are we seriously supposed to believe that Emily invited White Haired Killer into her home and wasn't prepared for the fact that he might attempt to kill her? Really?! Because I'm not buying. There is no way she wouldn't have been prepared for that.

I realise that the show has this whole narrative they're going with where Emily is letting her emotions get to her but even with that I am still not buying Emily letting the man who killed her father get that close without being on edge the entire time as well as having a weapon close by.

- Also I feel like a part of this was so TPTB could keep Emily from killing someone which she still hasn't actually done. That annoys me too. They want Emily to be dark but apparently there is a line. A line that feels kind of like a cop-out. If ever there was a person for Emily to kill... which brings me to my other point:

2) That Apprentice Guy is the one who kills her father's killer. If anyone should have killed WHK it's Emily. She always should have been the one to do it and I feel ripped off that she wasn't. Plus if there is anyone who Emily should go so far as to actually kill it should have been the man who killed her father. Now if she does cross that line it will have to be for a damn impressive reason.
