Young and the Restless Thoughts

• The Tucker/Victor scene was great. I loved Tucker calling Victor out on his hypocrisy (with the time Tucker was in a coma and Victor tried to steal Jabot - which I forgot about actually - but there were so many things he could have called out). Also I loved someone finally pointing out that Victor used Sharon - that Victor married her to make Nikki jealous - instead of the relationship with Victor somehow being all Sharon's fault. She's his daughter-in-law (twice) who he dated - that is as much on him as her.
Between that and Tucker speaking up for Sharon and making a deal with Victor to save her I'm starting to forgive him for the way he used her.
• Abby is completely ridiculous. See:
Abby (to Sharon re: Faith): She's better off without you.
Abby (to Summer re: Phyllis): Not a fan of Phyllis but she is your mom. Just talk to her.
So Phyllis tried to kill a couple people a few decades back and is completely not sorry about it, plus she's having an affair but Summer should totally try to reconnect to her because she's Summer's mom
Sharon, meanwhile, was really mean to the Newmans, tried to take over the family company, pretended Victor was dead and sold Abby's horses; she is clearly the worst person ever and she shouldn't be around Faith.
I understand her anger and hatred for Sharon - the Victor fake-death is enough reason to never forgive her - and I actually totally understand her anger about her horses. I'd never forgive that either. I don't need or even want her to forgive Sharon. But the way she went for dismissing Sharon's relationship with Faith (who I'm sure sees it differently) to encouraging Summer to forgive her mom is aggravating.
• I do like the Abby/Davon friendship.

• Nick's rant at Phyllis was amazing. "Just like it was Paul and Cristine's fault that they happened to be in front of your car?!" (!) and "You expect nothing from yourself. No responsibility, no accountability, nothing!" It was everything I ever wanted.
I couldn't care less about Phyllis cheating on Nick and Nick's an ass (+ he's been making eyes at Avery so I don't know how much room he has to judge even ignoring his past cheating ways - the oh so many times) but, god, have I wanted someone to say these things to Phyllis, someone who's opinion matters to her, since the whole attempted-murder reveal storyline started.
• I also liked the Tucker/Nikki confrontation. I loved him calling Nikki on ditching Jack immediately after marrying him and pointing out that Victor would gut Tucker's company if he ever had the opportunity. Also while I don't think it's Tucker's place to comment on the Nikki/Victor relationship I do like someone calling Nikki on how dysfunctional her relationship with Victor is.

• I liked Adam calling Victor on ignoring him since his 'resurrection' and only coming to see him now that Victor needs something.
Victor wasn't wrong that they both caused the problems between them or that Adam did many despicable things (that I don't think he has even fully made up for yet). But Victor's response of "are you forgetting all the horrible things you did to me and my family" was pretty telling. I wouldn't blame Victor or any other Newman for wanting nothing to do with Adam but ignoring him and then turning around and asking him to help show a 'united family front' is annoying. Either he's family or he's not.
• The Victor/Phyllis scene was really weird. It felt a lot more like a Sharon/Victor scene from the past. I mean Victor has never been fond of Phyllis. I guess now that Victor hates Sharon Phyllis is the favourite daughter-in-law who gets the support and comfort from him?
• Nick is a hypocrite ("Violence doesn't solve anything", really Nick? How many people have you punched?) but I liked how he dealt with Summer. That he didn't wave off her destroying Ronan's car with the excuse of what Phyllis did.

• "Who remembers phone numbers?" - Fen LOL
• So with a new Noah we get a new more judgmental attitude as well? It's been awhile since he's been on but wasn't he all non-judgy about Sharon's choices and Sharon/Victor?
Noah wasn't wrong about this - "You need to take a long hard look at your life and make some serious changes." I agree with that a lot even though at the same time I really still think there has to be some mental illness or similar at work with Sharon. Her behaviour has been simply to out there.
• I'm excited about Tucker and Jack teaming up.
• Summer is such a spoiled little brat, wow. I'm even feeling sorry for Phyllis.
• I loved the Sharon/Tucker scenes. I'm really glad that they're on good footing again. So now that things are 'even' between them I hope it doesn't mean their relationship is over. They both seem to have forgiven each other, and Tucker was clearly concerned about Sharon so hopefully they'll become real friends now. Or perhaps she could go to work for him and he could mentor her? I just want them to stay in each others orbit.
• I can't believe Phyllis's case was dismissed. Seriously? WTF?
• I think Nick's kids just need to never drive.

• Phyllis is unbelievable. The way she lit into Christine, her victim, was disgusting.
• A part of me feels like Kevin's behaviour towards Michael is karma for Michael's reaction towards Christine. How different is Kevin waving off moving a dead body to Michael's whole "she tried to kill you twenty years ago, move on".
• Michael was right that he has always been there for Kevin and Kevin is being really ungrateful. I don't understand Kevin's loyalty to Phyllis here.
• I like that Nick is consistently refusing to allow Summer to shift blame for her actions. Now if only that will be followed up by actual consequences for her.
• "At least I just ran into a tree." - Summer LOL
• "She’s so spoiled. She always gets her way." – Summer re: Phyllis. Wow. She really was on the nose when she said ‘like mother, like daughter’. That line about getting Victor to buy her a new, and better, car made me shake my head. Such a spoiled brat.
• Adam and Chelsea losing the baby - more karma? For Adam causing Ashley's miscarriage and then stealing Sharon and Nick's baby? I understand his anger about the accident but I also hope he has the self-awareness to realise he did worse and not go all vengeance-y about it. This could be a good time to prove he's changed (though less soapy that way I suppose.)
• The Daniel/Heather scenes were weird. Why would Heather apologize for doing her job? Daniel dealt with it well but, uh, Phyllis was guilty so why wouldn't he? Why did the show just brush Heather's realisation that Daniel knew all along that Phyllis did try and kill her father and Christina aside? I mean she even kind of smiles and he's all "I'm just glad it's over" and that's it. He knew and Heather doesn't care at all? What?
