• I loved Sharon. She was excellent and fun.

- I liked how sincere and caring she was with both Nick and Adam. When she was trying to comfort Nick about Summer's accident and how it wasn't like what happened with Cassie. When she offered Adam her condolences for his loss and told him that it wasn't his fault it happened (because life doesn't work by karmic retribution). I also liked her refusing to give up on Noah.

- She was so snarky and bitchy. It was fabulous. I especially loved:

"I don't really care if you and the rest of the blood sucking Newman's like me but Noah is my son."

"It's a shame she inherited that hit and run gene from Phyllis." LMAO.

Her "Victor Newman blah" *blows raspberry* response to Adam trying to sympathize with her being in Victor's death glare gaze. It was hilarious.

After Sharon breaks down, heals and gets her act back together I hope the show lets her keep the bitchiness because it's the best. This episode was a great mix of her being compassionate and not taking crap from people. I like this Sharon.

• I really loved the Sharon/Adam scene. I liked him approaching her to make sure she was okay.

- I find myself torn. One hand - I love Sharon/Adam and I want them back together. Other hand - I don't want Sharon's recovery to be about a man, I want her to find strength by herself for once, and I don't want Adam/Chelsea to break-up via a triangle with Sharon (rather I want their eventual break-up to be all about them and their relationship, not an outside force.) So actually I guess I'm not that torn after all. I want the immediate future to have no Sharon/Adam romance, though a supportive friendship would be awesome, while Sharon heals and Adam/Chelsea eventually falls apart and only after both those things happen do I want them back together. That's how I really want to see it play out.

• So Summer's anger seems mostly about Phyllis cheating which is really head-shaking when she's complaining to Noah that Phyllis is "disgusting" because she cheated on their dad. Does she not remember that she only exists because their dad cheated on Noah's mom with her mom?

• Poor Genevieve. I'm feeling for her. Jack was cruel and considering how things have been for them recently that doesn't seem very in character. I kind of understand TPTB going there - considering GF is leaving - but I don't know why they had to make Jack be that mean. She could still leave town to start over having made peace with him.

• So Victor's stockholders lost faith in him because of Sharon... because he married her? Because Victor hadn't had something in place to prevent her from taking over the company in case he disappeared? I am really hoping it's the former because thus far Victor's basically skated free of all consequences of marrying his daughter-in-law and I want him to suffer some of the scorn Sharon's dealing with.

"Newman Enterprises is like one of his children. Only more important." - Abby. Sadly this is completely true and the way Abby half laughs indicates that she realises it as well.

• It seems that neither Jack nor Victoria care about putting Billy in the middle.

10/17

• Poor Sharon.

• I really liked Abby. First she made me laugh during her talk with Nick - the line about how she'll 'mess up' Jack lol and then: "I am resourceful and tenacious and I know how to write a strongly worded letter." Hee. I just found her really adorable. I also really liked her bringing up that they should call Adam at the hospital.

• Are Nikki and Nick practicing selective deafness? Both of them were there when the doctor explained that Victor collapsed because of his two untreated concussions. And yet in the same episode Nikki is all "Jack did this to him. He's the reason your father is in this hospital" and Nick confronts Jack with "your actions put my dad in the hospital" Uh, no, no they didn't.

• Nick is still self-righteous. First about Adam and then with Jack. Victor has done the exact same thing that Jack has just done and Nick certainly wasn't telling him that he "lost his soul". Also so much for "violence doesn't solve anything"! Although I guess he didn't actually hit Jack so there's that.

All that said I actually really liked the Jack/Nick confrontation. I liked how Jack dealt with Nick and how calm he was the whole time. I even liked his dark joke about not 'mourning Victor's demise' since he 'just attended his funeral'. I liked how it was very centered on their history together. I liked that Nick was calling Jack out based on Jack being a better person than Victor. That was unexpected but I loved it.

• It's interesting that we have Sharon being haunted by hallucinations of the Newmans as a sign of how completely she has lost it in the same episode as Jack has a 'visit' from his dead father.

• I love that Sharon called Adam. Granted he was literally the last person to be nice to her so that could be why she chose him and the only other person I could see her calling would be Tucker. Still I loved her turning to Adam for help and that he immediately went running to her side. I loved him being so worried about her.

• It's interesting how Adam just automatically lied about it being Sharon on the phone. He didn't even hesitate. Between this and Adam not telling Chelsea about his interest in the Newman/Abbott war I wonder if Adam keeping secrets from her is going to be their downfall? I really don't want it to be over Sharon but the only reason I can think of for him to lie to Chelsea about her is because he realises he does still have feeling for her.

- But why would Adam use Kevin and a work mess up as a reason to leave when that is something that would be very easy for Chelsea to discover was a lie, even accidentally? It seems sloppy.

• I feel bad for Chelsea. I think she needs a friends almost as much as Sharon. Huh. Sharon and Chelsea - that would certainly be unexpected! Mostly though I'm hoping that Adam starts giving her what she needs the same way she's supporting him because I don't want a repeat of the Sharon/Nick break-up with them.

• Billy was great with Victoria but I hope that his role as spy proves to be more conflicting then he expects.

10/18

• Billy was excellent and everything he was saying was completely correct. I liked especially: “Maybe something is trying to tell us that we should try something different this time.” (Yes! Stop taking sides. I also loved the idea of them starting their own company together) and “He’s challenging you? Your father either loves and accepts you or he doesn’t.

- Victoria is definitely in the wrong to keep asking Billy to help her fight for her family company – and betray his brother. Did she not see how relieved he was when he thought they could drop it? She just doesn’t seem to care about the position she's put Billy in or how it makes him feel. Contrasted against how wonderful Billy is being it makes her look worse.

“I don’t want you to worry.” – Adam. Hmm, the way he says this makes me think this is actually the real reason he’s been lying to Chelsea about Sharon. I still think that Adam is realising that he cares for Sharon a lot more than he thought, that he’s not actually over her, but the lying is about protecting Chelsea. He doesn’t (yet) want to be with Sharon again even though he still loves her and he doesn’t want to cause Chelsea even a little worry about it. He knows him helping Sharon would be upsetting and he’s trying to protect Chelsea?

• I wonder if Chelsea is going to put Adam smelling like fire together with the ranch fire and come up with him setting the fire?

10/19

• Does Phyllis even hear what comes out of her mouth? The bullshit she was spewing this episode was ridiculous!

- “Just because you are upset at someone that doesn’t give you licence to be violent and reckless and do whatever you want, Summer.” Uh, like trying to murder two people because your husband kissed one of them? The hypocrisy is boggling.

- “I took responsibility for what I did. I owed up to my mistakes.” ...o_O In what universe has Phyllis taken responsibility for her actions? She’s hasn’t even stopped denying that she tried to kill Christine and Paul even though everyone knows she did it!

• Summer was also ridiculous. Her continuing to blaming the accident on her mother because Phyllis made her upset and then the way she leapt to deciding that Phyllis was saying she was responsible for the miscarriage made me shake my head.

• I liked the flashbacks of Nikki and Victor in the house.

• Cane lashing out at Genevieve about “ruining his life” and blaming her leaving Jack for why he didn’t get the CEO job is unreasonable. During their meeting Jack straight out said that Genevieve wasn’t the reason. But okay, fine, Cane is choosing to not believe Jack but even if she was the cause Cane not getting a major promotion at work it is not ruining his life. Frankly at this point Genevieve’s life is more ruined then his.
