2x05 The Doctor

• The Enchanted Forest scenes were great. I really like how well the four women are working together, the way they trust each other’s judgement. I loved Emma and how she dealt with Hook. I loved her holding a knife to his throat.

• The reveal of Dr. Whale as Dr. Frankenstein and what it means for this show’s universe has me so excited. If Dr. Frankenstein’s world is one the Mad Hatter can reach then what worlds can’t he? This has opened up the scope of worlds far more than I was expecting from the first Hatter episode and I love it.

• Henry with the horse was adorable. It made me smile. I continue to really like the Henry/Charming scenes.

• I am really not happy with what the show is doing with Regina and her magic. I hate the whole magic = an addiction/drugs thing shows keep doing in itself and I think it works even less for Regina.

2x06 ‘Tallahassee’

• I loved the Emma/Hook part of the episode. I really enjoyed Hook flirting with Emma. I liked them being able to read each other. (The mention of Neverland was great.) I loved that Emma saved herself. I loved that she saved Hook and then turned on him to give them all a ten hour head start on him. I was not expecting that and it was awesome. I think Emma was affected by Hook (can’t blame her!) but I like that it didn’t work on her and that even though she felt a connection and sympathy for him she didn’t trust him. I was half expecting for him to fool her and then betray her in the end and I am so glad that didn’t happen. I’m very much looking forward to their next meeting.

• The Snow/Aurora scenes were lovely. I loved Snow sharing her experience with the sleeping curse and then her helping Aurora through it. I like how their interactions were both Snow seeing a younger version of herself in Aurora and Snow wanting someone to mother/take care of. I liked the Emma/Mulan agreement and that while torn about it in the end Mulan was going to cut down that beanstalk. I liked the Snow/Mulan fight. I loved the short Snow/Emma scene at the end. Snow’s love for her daughter is still my favourite thing. I loved Snow’s little confirming nod to Emma that Hook was telling the truth. Basically all the scenes dealing with these four make me super happy and I really wish there were more of them.

• I love the parallel of both Emma and Snow White being thieves when they were younger.

• Man, August is very dedicated to messing up Emma’s life isn’t he? I realise that in his mind he’s doing the right thing, the best thing, but what he did was horrible. Abandoning baby Emma was something that I could understand – he was a kid, it was an abusive situation – but this is just… *hands* He couldn’t just approach Emma and tell her the truth why? Also did he take the $20, 000 Neal gave him for Emma and keep it? Ugh, August, you are the worst.

2x07 ‘Child of the Moon’

• So much love for Red/Snow. Just - ♥♥ Everything about them was amazingly awesome. We're in this together, Red." and “I didn’t lose my family today I protected it.”

• The Charming/Red friendship was wonderful. I loved how much he believed in her.

• Ruby/Belle was lovely. I especially loved their first scene.

• Rumpelstiltskin giving Henry the charm for free was an interesting moment in that, well it is Rumpelstiltskin, but mainly because if Neal is Baelfire that means Rumpel is Henry's grandfather and their interactions now are a lot more interesting to me.

• I really disliked that Red accidentally killed her mother. It would have worked far better if she’d injured Anita, they’d had a confrontation and then Red chose to leave with Snow. What was the point in killing her?

• I also had a problem with some of the emotion in the episode – everything was excellent except Red/Anita. There was something missing. I didn’t really feel anything for them. We also didn’t really get anything about Red struggling with the knowledge that her grandmother stole her and was lying to her all her life.

• The fact that sentient animals were taken from the Enchanted Forest and turned into humans in Storybrooke is interesting.

• I was sad that they killed Billy/Gus off. That definitely felt unnecessary. Why couldn't they have just killed off a random background character? There was no need for it to be Gus, I'm sure Ruby would have felt just as bad if she'd killed Extra #5. Also he was cute and sweet and he was Gus Gus! I didn't much like the Cinderella episode, or Cinderella, but that would have been a nice reunion to see.

• I did think George’s lack of remorse for killing Billy/Gus and the contempt in his voice when he said “he was a mouse” was well done.
