Nikita 3x02 & 3x03 Thoughts

• Some really lovely Nikita/Alex stuff. I love them doing things together outside of 'work'. Alex's "I think you'd be great at whatever you choose to do." made me awww. I liked Alex reassuring Nikita that she was getting to Liza.
I really loved the moments between Nikita/Alex during the final Liza/Nikita/Alex scene and the callback to their past. "I got the last girl. I want you to have this one." - I especially loved this because it was Nikita knowing Alex, and knowing that this was something that Alex needed. And I like that both of them got to have this moment, together, of reuniting a young girl with her family.
• I loved the final Michael/Nikita scene where he reveals that he knew about her hiding spot/keycard all along and kept her secret. "I always had your back." I love their relationship.
• I loved Michael's "She's my recruit" to Wade regarding Nikita both for the pride in his voice and for the 'I win' moment it gave him over his predecessor.
• I did shake my head a little at Alex being sent to talk to the Liza's parents. We've had her state right out that she can't do undercover work anymore and they can't just go back on that. I did like that the mom pointed out the resemblance to Alexandra Udinov but seriously the show can't have her undercover like this now. I find it too unbelievable.
• I find it hard to believe that Wade has never heard about Nikita even if he was stationed outside the main Division facility.
• "Replaced him with a sleeker, broodier model of trainer." - Birkoff. Heee
3x03 'True Believer'
I loved this episode.
• "Look, just because we’re engaged it doesn’t me she listens to me more." - Michael. Heh.
• Ugh, no. I just can't buy Alex, without even any effort to disguise how she looks, going undercover. And a maximum security prison? What? It would have made far more sense for her to have been hiding in the cart and Nikita playing the role.
• Alex saving Nikita ♥ Just so much love that her immediate reaction to seeing a gun pointed at them is to yell 'no!' and push Nikita out of the way.
• I liked Nikita telling the techs that they did a good job even though she was pissed off and worried about what happened with Alex. It's a small moment but it speaks so much to who she is as a person (and shows why she would be good as head of Division).
• “She shot Alex. I don’t care.” - Nikita ♥ The love these two have for each other and the protectiveness they feel... I love them so much.
• I loved the twist that Mia was inspired by Nikita, that it was Nikita who gave her hope and made her believe, and then Nikita who betrayed by her by not tearing down Division. Loved it.
- I would love for the show to explore this more - Division agents feelings about Nikita's quest to take down Division and their reactions to her now being one of the leaders of it. It also makes me wonder - surprisingly for the first time - if she did have supporters amongst the agents, and if any of them were sent against her and purposefully missed a shot or did anything else to help her? Hmm.
• “You want to know what I believe in? Nikita.” - Alex ♥ SO MANY FEELINGS!
• I loved getting to see badass Michael. I also really liked getting to see Michael make the mistake of misjudging Joshua and subsequently losing him. He’s not perfect, and that’s good, and it made his take down of Joshua all the better.
• Super small thing but I liked that Nikita tased the female lookout first then knocked out the male lookout if only because the 'obvious' choice would be to take the guy out first (since he'd be considered the bigger threat, except not here.)
• I liked Mia and, damn, I really wish this show would stop killing off these great characters they introduce. Background reoccurring characters are an asset!
• The final Nikita/Ryan scene was really nice. It was nice to see them at ease with each other and as friends and not with the tension that's been so much a part of their interactions this season.
