• Not enough Nikita/Alex scenes. We get little moments - like Nikita reaching out to touch Alex after she finds the exploded medical room in 3x05 - which are great and I love them but no real scenes between them.
I really want to get some scenes with Nikita figuring out Alex's new addiction and helping her to deal with it/get clean again. If not Amanda
• I love what the show is doing with Amanda and 3x06 'Sideswipe' was possibly her best episode yet.
"Death would be a mercy. She doesn't deserve mercy. Nikita thinks that she can run Division without selling her soul. She's wrong. She's going to have to sacrifice more than she could ever imagine. That is the lesson she needs to learn. (how) The same way she's learned everything she knows. I teach her." This just seems so revealing to me! She wants to put Nikita into a position where she's forced to make the difficult decisions Amanda has had to make. This is about Amanda trying to force Nikita into understanding Amanda and the position she was in. About forcing Nikita to realise Nikita was the one wrong. At the same time she's also still trying to teach Nikita how to be the best.
- I feel like Nikita missed something really huge about what happened when she rescued Cyrus. She tells Amanda "I get it now. The lesson. The things that we care about can hurt us so the trick is not to care. Let's see how well you learn." and then plays chicken with Amanda and her bomb - and it's Amanda who gives in. Which... is basically confirming what we have already seen: Amanda cares about Nikita. She doesn't want to, she tries not to. But she does. Possibly more than any one else.
And yet at the end Nikita has apparently decided that Amanda only wants Nikita to suffer (and thus Amanda's targeting her loved ones). I don't disagree that Amanda wants her to suffer or that she'll be targeting Nikita's vulnerabilities but that is definitely not what this is all about and I'm surprised that we haven't gotten more from Nikita (or Michael) on the fact that some part of Amanda does care. (Though 2x18 also proved that.)
• I miss Birkoff/Alex scenes. Maybe he can bring her in on the truth about the mole situation and the can work together to save Sonja.
• Also I feel like with Sean's clear... distrust in Nikita's feelings and loyalty towards Alex (that she doesn't give back what Alex gives her) the show now needs to show in some huge way how much Nikita loves Alex.
• I love that the Division randoms calling our main group Camelot/the round table.
• It seems like the show has realised that reoccurring background characters are a good thing. Anne, Carl, Cyrus all survive their episodes. Sonja even survives being revealed as the mole. Anne, I'm neutral on. She doesn't really have any personality yet and I don't care about her. Worse I don't find anything about her interesting, not even her relationship with Amanda which should be a goldmine; so that's really disappointing. Cyrus on the hand I love! I am so glad that he survived. Also glad that both Sonja and Ari are still around.
• Isaiah Mustafa was great as Cyrus. I found him really charming. He had great chemistry with Nikita and I would love to see him again.
- I also loved that he found Nikita during her renegade days but kept it secret. That's twice now this season that we've met Division agents that liked or believed in what Nikita was trying to do. Interesting.
