Episodes 8 - 11

- The exposition in this series is so bad. Episode 8 was the worst yet. It was ridiculous. I really don't need characters to narrate for me.

- I was expecting Theresa to die but it was still surprising when it happened. She was awesome and will be missed.

- I’m confused about who killed her? I thought when it happened that it was a new Claymore who showed up and took advantage of her distraction but then during the rest of the episode there was no new Claymore so I clearly saw it wrong. Was it Priscilla?

- So the young Clare was in fact adult Clare. I was kind of expecting that but a part of me was hoping they weren’t just so we could keep getting the Theresa/Clare interactions. Clare cradling Theresa's head was just... D:

- I was surprised that Clare is the lowest rated of the Claymore’s and the weakest but I liked it.

- The implications revealed in episode 10 are kind of... yucky. Men were unmatched fighters as Claymores (totally better then the women!) and using yoki/awakening = sexual pleasure and men found it harder to suppress their awakening (because men can’t help themselves! And women aren’t sexual, duh). The fact that women can suppress better than men and last longer certainly implies a greater if different strength there but... it bothered me.

- I'm really enjoying the interactions between the four Claymores.

- I loved Clare specifically developing a skill – seeing yoki – to use to hunt Awakened Beings.

- I was annoyed by Clare attacking the male awakened being’s arms instead of just cutting his head off. Even beyond the fact that they already know that his limbs grow back cutting his head off is a pretty foolproof way to kill something.

- Miria basically telling the bad guy about Clare’s powers even if she was talking to Clare/working things out out loud made me shake my head. Talk about over confident.

- So I hate when close friendships are always turned into romances and someone showing great emotion over someone else is always interpreted as romantic or familial love. It downgrades loving people as only friends to a lesser type of love. That’s wrong and annoying. I totally don’t believe that. And yet I do it myself. When Miria Awakened after unknowingly killing Hilda I immediately thought ‘so with that grief Miria and Hilda were totally a couple in school, yes?’

- The whole idea of Awakened Claymore’s is very cool. I love that.

- I loved the four Claymore’s joining together in secrecy and basically conspiring to be allies against everyone else.
