I watched Fairly Legal 1x01 and enjoyed it. I’ll keep watching. I am most intrigued by the Kate/Lauren relationship. I liked that they had Kate admit straight-out that she hated/resented Lauren for making her father happy (when her mother didn’t) and marrying him. I also liked that when Lauren laid out the problems the firm was having Kate’s immediate reaction was ‘what can I do’. I’m interested in seeing how their relationship grows and changes.

White Collar 2x11 ‘Forging Bonds’

• This is the problem with having flashback episodes so far into a series instead of at the beginning – you create your own mental canon, get attacked to it and when eventually the show handles the subject you end up Jossed and annoyed. The whole Peter/Diana/Jones past is not at all how I imagined it. It just doesn’t fit their current relationships (IMO). I mean Diana is so very loyal to Peter, and Peter trusts her so implicitly that I was sure they’ve known each other for a long time. Certainly it’s seemed to me that they knew each other longer than Peter and Jones have known each other. Jones just really felt like he was the new guy to the team in the beginning. I think if Jones and Diana’s roles in the flashback were reversed it would have worked much better for me and as it was I’m really disappointed.

• Diana’s short flashback scene irritated me when it involved her serving coffee to the other agents in the meeting but I did like that she came up with the idea on how to capture Neal. ... Except then it was really Diana who captured Neal, isn’t it? I mean it was her idea for it and Peter just instituted it. So I don’t really like that either. Basically the flashbacks just didn't work for me very well.

• It was nice to see more of Kate and Kate/Neal, they’ve both needed back-story.

• Kate’s similarity to Elizabeth in looks has never been more obvious. She seriously could be her sister.

• I liked Neal giving Peter the sucker and the way Peter kept it for years and then only opened it when he finally caught Neal.

NCIS 8x11 ‘Ships in the Night’

• I really liked CGIS Agent Abigail Borin when we first met her back in 7x18 so it was an excellent surprise to see her again in this episode. I love her relationship with Gibbs and Abby and the team. I love how similar Abigail and Gibbs are and how much he clearly respect and likes her. I mean she goes around giving orders to his team and he has no reaction meanwhile when other people do it he gets irritated and snappy. The team itself works really well with her – though we had a bit of McGee sulking because she kept stealing his role – and I love how easily she just becomes a part of them. She works with them really well. I really wish that there was some way that she could become a more permanently part of the show instead of just showing up once a year.

- I loved that Gibbs arrived at the crime scene with a change of clothes for her and then later brings her a coffee (along with Abby’s Cafpow). Perhaps the reason everyone else gets along with her so well is that Gibbs gets along with her very well and as always they follow his lead.

• Loved the Tony/Ziva exchange where he throws his pen at her, she catches it without opening her eyes and he wonders “Do you use sonar?” LOL.

• I’m curious about why the show seems to have dropped all the Tony/Ziva subtext. It was so heavy there for awhile, so obvious, and now not so much.

• The one thing I didn’t like was Gibbs line about Abby being NCIS’s mascot – she takes it well and he obviously meant it affectionately but it felt really condescending to me.
