iaria2x18 'Masquerade'
• Nolan/Emily were wonderful. I loved Emily's worry for Nolan and the fact that she was sincerely ready to leave her plans behind in order to be there for him. I loved the hug. I adored this:
"This doesn't matter anymore. ... I'm not leaving you alone, Nolan." - Emily.
"I love you, too." - Nolan
♥ One of their sweetest moments.
• This made me laugh:
Conrad: You are deceptively brilliant.
Ashley: I learned from the best.
Conrad: (pause) You meant Victoria didn't you?
Ashley: Yeah.
• I enjoyed Daniel's take down of Victoria (and Jack's) but at this point Daniel is so - ugh. There was a point where I actually liked Daniel (S1) and liked Daniel/Emily (even into S2) but both of those are long past at this point. I still believe that he is completely head-over heels about Emily but he is just so - smug. His behaviour with Emily, how pushy he is with her, is off-putting as is his general attitude, and him repeatedly protesting doing horrible things as wrong and then doing them anyway is getting old. If any more characters were to die at this point I wouldn't mind if it were Daniel.
2x19 'Identity'
• I loved Emily sending Nolan the picture so he could cross the Falcon off himself.
2x21 'Truth'
• Most important thing: Nolan! omg, I was not expecting him to be the one being set up but damn I should have! I bet Emily is going to regret throwing that laptop away now.
• I think a more shocking ending would have been Jack shooting Conrad - or him doing that, Emily getting him away and then confessing who she is.
• "Sadly my plans for the apocalypse consisted of making plans that started and ended with 'call Emily'." - Nolan LOL. ♥
• Bizarrely enough Declan has become one of the best people on this show over the last two seasons. His behaviour with Charlotte lately has been perfect. So of course the show kills him off. I even got a little teary over his death. Him keeping the truth from Charlotte to keep her last memory good, the message he left for Jack - if I watch next season I think I'm going to miss him.
• I'm not a big fan of Jack but, god, he is having a horrible month. Wife murdered, brother murdered, and he doesn't get to be with either of them when they die. I can't blame him from wanting Conrad dead. I kind of hope he gets to be the one who does it in the end. (Though I actually think he deserves to live in a jail cell for the rest of his life more than death.)
• Takeda's death didn't really affect me but Emily's reaction to finding his body did.
• Wait, so is Aiden dead?! It certainly seems that way though the show left it open for him to be alive. It's weird because I haven't really cared for him since his introduction though I have been warming up a bit the last few episodes and in the finale I found myself actually liking him and him with Emily. So now that he might potentially be gone, like I was hoping for at certain points this season, I find myself hoping he isn't.
• Daniel has been on a downward spiral, morally, since the end of season one. I found it abrupt and not supported back then but every action since does. Daniel has a lot of moral pangs, he objects to the dirty business happening around him, but he always ends up going along with whatever horrible thing his parents are doing. From framing Amily for murder (which would likely lead to her death) to helping to frame Aidan for a terrorist attack. His love for Emily and Charlotte have done a lot to keep him... likable? Not completely a write off? I firmly believe that he loves both of them whole-heartedly. But murder, by his own hand, is a new level for him. It appears he really is taking after his father.
• I love how well Nolan and Emily always work together.
• I loved Ashley letting Conrad go onto the stage after giving him several chances to prove he had any good in him. I really want her to join Team Emily.
• I loved the Emily/Victoria showdown at the Grayson's. That was fun. Of all the characters it's Victoria who's reaction to the truth of Emily's identity I want to see most.
• Emily getting her fingerprints all over Takeda's crime scene was really annoying. She knows better than that.
