Haven 3x01 Thoughts

• It's been awhile since I last watched Haven and I know there was tension between Nathan and Duke at the end of last season and he thought Duke had something to do with Audrey's disappearance but - he learns that Duke didn't and his continued hostility at the end of the episode has me scratching my head. He was being needlessly aggressive and I don't understand why. Was it really that bad between them at the end of last season?
• Nathan's insistence that Duke is a killer of Troubled people because his father and grandfather both were is ridiculous. The sins of the father are not the sins of the child and all that. It's not even like Duke was raised to believe as his family did.
• Duke was completely right about Nathan being a hypocrite. He was also right about there not being a ton of difference between killing Wesley and convincing Wesley to disappear himself. There is some difference, a slight possibility even that Wesley could reappear if they manage to end the Troubles, but not that big of a one in the end. Not enough for him to look down so much on a potential choice Duke might have made.
• Audrey was totally a badass in freeing herself. I meanwhile spent the entire time wincing every time the camera went back to her blood covered hands as she sawed away at the ropes with the glass. Ouch.
• "She’s the only one I can feel. She’s the only one." - Nathan. I always love sharing between these guys but this kind of rubbed me the wrong way. As if the most important thing about Audrey to Nathan is the fact that he can feel her touch. And I could totally understand why that would make her even more important to him, and it's not like I do think that being able to feel her is the main reason he loves her and wants to be with her but - it just bugged me.
• Aw Duke. His face when Audrey left his arms to go hug Nathan made me want to hug him.
• I continue to really like Dwight.
