3x11 'Black Badge'

• Nikita was simply humouring Ryan at the end right? She has to know it's not a good idea. Also all I could think was what does Ryan know about what Division agents think? He may be in charge but he's not one of them, never has been and I'm sure none of them are confiding in him.

• I just can't buy Alex undercover anymore. Or at least not most of the time and certainly not in the FBI. She has a famous identity! I kind of got the impression she was a mix between 'Anastasia returned'/Paris Hilton to the media and while I can buy some people not recognizing her I can't in this case.

• Nikita’s move with the knife was pretty cool. The entire Nikita/Naomi fight was great. I loved the pause when the two men walked by.

"You are a part of the family like it or not." - Alex

• Couldn't they set Naomi up at this point? It's known that she was one of the last people to meet Kendrick, she was a conspiracy theorist. They could make it seem as if she killed him because he wouldn't listen to her theories and then set Sean up. It wouldn't fix everything but it would clear Sean's name.

• Amanda's plan was excellent and well executed but she messed up at the end by sacrificing Naomi. She was a great hidden asset especially after meeting Nikita.

• Imagine if Amanda had been content to let Nikita rescue Sean and kept Naomi's cover. Naomi would still be the conspiracy theory analyst searching for Divison who had already made contact with Nikita. It wouldn't be hard to create a reason for Nikita to need to contact her again. And how hard would it really be for Naomi to become friends with Nikita or gain her trust? Imagine if Naomi became an ally? How much damage could Amanda do? How painful the betrayal when Nikita learned the truth? It could have been amazing.

3x12 'With Fire'

• I’m sad about the Ari/Amanda breakup. Even though we never did get much about their relationship I’ve found them really intriguing since the reveal of their partnership. As Nikita says they were together for twenty years! Their partnership wasn’t a whim. It was something they worked on and defended. Ari trusted Amanda implicitly (see trusting Nikita wouldn't kill him if his son was there). I loved the layers it gave to both Amanda and Ari, especially Amanda. I would have preferred that the show had left it real and strong. Bad guys can love each other too! I spent a lot of time hoping that it was all an elaborate Amanda/Ari plan.

Sigh. But then I guess this does fit with Amanda's single-minded focus and obsession with Nikita to the exclusion of everything else. I wish they'd played Amanda/Ari a little differently this season showing how her obsession is what slowly destroyed their relationship.

• I love when Alex gets to be clever. Also these are missions that make sense for her - non-undercover work.

• Why would Alex confess something so personal over open coms? That made no sense to me. Unless it was restricted to just Sean and Birkoff and this was her way of telling Sean without having to actually tell him?

• I loved Ari playing head games with Nikita and Michael even while being tortured. See? He and Amanda are perfect for each other!

• The grenade in the elevator attack was chilling.

• I winced when Nikita turned to torture - both because it doesn't work and because she was falling into Amanda's trap (forcing Nikita to be like Amanda/be in her shoes). I'm glad that the show didn't have it work - Ari didn't break from being tortured, he talked because Nikita convinced him to.
