Nikita 3x13 Thoughts

• "I like this. Just the two of us in an old abandoned staging area. Feels like old times." - Alex. YES! It was so great to get Nikita and Alex working together again. It's been so long. I mean the last episode didn't even have them sharing one scene. I've very hopeful the next episode (or couple) with Alex in Amanda's hands will lead to some great Alex/Nikita stuff.
• I loved Nikita opening up to Alex. I was worried that she was going to brush it off but instead she actually told Alex what was bothering her.
• I loved the Nikita/Amanda scenes. Well, except their fight scene. This show has definitely done better.
• "You think you're the only one with daddy issues?" - Amanda. I'm glad we're going to be getting some Amanda back-story finally but mainly this line has me going - Nikita has daddy issues? I don't remember that. I mean there was the episode with the fake dad but I thought Nikita was abandoned by both parents so it's not so much that she has daddy issues as that she has parental/abandonment issues?
• Ari Scheherazade-ing Owen was amusing especially Owen buying it and Ari's perfectly over-it "no I'm not" in response. Peter Outerbridge said it perfectly. I can't believe though that Owen actually bought the aliens thing. Oh, Owen.
• I really didn't miss Ryan or Sean this episode. You know, the cast is so big at this point and while I like both guys, especially Ryan, I'd be fine with the show killing both of them off so the people and relationships that are important can get the screen time they deserve. [Well important to me at least but they're also the foundation of the show - Alex/Nikita/Michael - and I think they need more especially Alex/Nikita.]
• I liked Krieg and the Krieg/Stefan relationship. I was surprised that Stefan didn't even ask if he could see or talk to his dad. He just seemed to shrug about it. I felt sorry for Ari while was listening to Krieg and Stefan's conversation - hearing how close they were, the fact that his son didn't ask for him. He should have talked to Stefan.
• There were a lot of drawing parallels drawn between characters this ep. Michael/Ari in giving up their sons to protect them. Amanada/Nikita/Alex - mentorships and teachers. We get Amanda using the police against her enemies, then later Alex does the same (while Nikita does it to save herself). From one generation to another. Also possible something to do with Amanda's beginning. Nikita/Krieg - their love for the person they protected.
