Double Jeopardy

• Audrey/Duke continue to be wonderful. I love their relationship. The sleepover was great. Audrey's determination to help Duke because he was her friend was great. There were four lines that really stuck out to me:

- "I know you only did what you did because I asked you to.". ... and Duke can't deny it because despite what he said in the previous episode about her not controlling him and it being his decision Audrey does have power over him. What she wants matters to him. And both of them acknowledge that in this moment. I love how they are (mostly) always truthful with each other especially about the personal stuff.

- "One good thing about the troubles - at least I got to meet Audrey Parker." Oh, Duke. He may still be living in denial but his love for her is so obvious. Loved it.

- "He is a good man." I love how unwavering and sure she is when she says this. I also liked Duke's reaction after.

- You know, they're overrated. I get one every 27 years except for I just lose all my friends and memories, so." Audrey making a (dark) joke about her 'clean slate' situation! And Duke joking back about being hard to forget. ♥ This just seemed huge to me that she could joke about it with Duke.

• Once again Audrey doesn't actually help a Troubled. She at least gets to talk to the Troubled this time and she manages to save Duke but she doesn't save the Troubled. Seriously it's really bugging me. It has to be on purpose, right? It also bothered me that Audrey said nothing as Lynette's anger turned on herself and then was pushed into the painting. Possibly it's how it was shot but it seemed as if Audrey had more than enough time to try and save/reach Lynette again but instead just stood there looking shocked. Please can the show let her be competent at saving Troubled again? That's her whole purpose!

"I don't know if love is something that can be erased." - Audrey. I have a feeling this is going to come into play at some point in the future.

• I was expecting lady justice to go after Nathan since he broke the law as well by bribing the judge. Actually I find the fact that the show didn't even apparently consider going there weird. How much more compelling would that scene between Audrey/Nathan/Lynette have had if she'd revealed that Justice was going after the corrupt chief of police and not the kids? Then you'd have Duke saving Nathan's life.

It would have have given the scene much more tension. Plus it would have tied Nathan's plot into the Troubled one of the episode, and it would have made the theme of justice/judgement work even better by connecting it to Nathan's descent to the darkside that took an abrupt leap forward this episode.

• What the hell is going on with Nathan? He has seriously gone off the rails this season and I'm finding it hard to understand his motives. His behaviour towards Duke is bad enough but his current actions are a little mindboggling. I get he's desperate right now to save Audrey but why exactly is he so sure that The Guard have something to do with her? He knows anyone can get one of those tattoos (he did). Committing crimes, lying to Audrey, kissing Jordan (!)...

The kissing Jordan actually bothers me most of all and not because of the kissing itself but because Nathan, of all people, is using touch/feeling and intimacy against someone. Using it to manipulate her when he more than anyone knows exactly what it means to her. Just - ouch. Bad Nathan. I thought it when he touched her in the last episode but actually kissing her takes it to a whole new, and horrible, level. I really, really hope this doesn't end up with them having sex.

All I can think is how when Duke wanted to help Audrey he went off, did research, asked people to help him and told Audrey the truth. Nathan's version of helping Audrey in comparison is crazy. I really hope we get more of an explanation for his behaviour than this season then his overwhelming need to protect Audrey.

• I am finding this whole Guard situation kind of boring.

• I loved Duke taking the keys from the drunk guy. Small moment, but showing so much about Duke's character.

"You know she's only using you as bait right?" - Nathan I wonder if Nathan really believed that or if he was simply poking at Duke? I was surprised there was no follow-up on this. I kept waiting for Duke to bring it up but - nothing. Did he simply chose not to believe Nathan? Considering Audrey recently used him to kill a man you'd think it would cause Duke to be a little - curious.

• So the Bolt Gun Killer is building a woman - I wonder if (s)he's somehow building Audrey? I mean I know that Audrey looks the same in every life but I wonder if this whole 'building a woman' thing is tied into her whole reincarnation situation?
