Nikita 3x17 Thoughts

• All of the Nikita/Owen stuff was excellent.
• Is Owen gone for good then? I'm with Nikita in hoping not even though I find Sam really interesting. He's smart, ruthless and confident. He's dangerous in a way Owen never really felt like - even when he wasn't on team Nikita. Which is weird since he was a cleaner. Perhaps he'll manage to reconcile both his Owen and Sam personas? Although - is Sam actually Owen's original self or is he just a construct of Amanda's? I missed whether that was addressed.
• Alex is falling apart so much and I'm surprised that no one has really noticed. Alex losing control of the revolt was a maybe a little surprised but not really and it was probably to be expected. Alex was in over her head from the start and I don't even know that the mind-manipulation is entirely to blame for that.
• I still wish the show hadn't made Alex manipulated by Amanda because that would have given this whole situation more oomph from an interpersonal standpoint. I'm still not completely sold there. I guess I'll see how it plays out. I just really don't want everything - including Alex's reasonable issues with Division - to be glossed over.
• I sympathised with Rachel in the last episode but not here when she decided to kill any Division agent who opposed her. Also it was her loyalty to Alex I was most interested in so her sort of turning on Alex made her much less interesting.
• Sonja walking away from Birkoff when he suggested that they leave Division together is fasinating - I just wish we could have seen it.
• The Owen/Michael fight was great. If only Michael hadn't been so obsessed with getting his hand back he probably could have won it.
