3x18 'Broken Home'

• Oh god, poor Alex. Even though it was her actions that set things in motion it's not her fault Sean died but you know that she's always going to blame herself for it anyway. Even after learning the truth about Amanda's mind control. Ouch. The last thing Alex needs is yet more survivors guilt.

• I was actually kind of sad when Sean died and not even only for Alex. I've been liking him a lot more since his faked death. I thought his actual death scene was well done.

• I loved all the Amanda/Nikita stuff. The 'flashbacks' were excellent. Finally we get the truth about Amanda and it's a doozy. Suddenly Amanda's affiliation with messing with people's minds makes complete sense. I figured out that Amanda was Helen about half way through but I thought that during the twins escape attempt Amanda would end up dead (by accident, their father) and Helen would take her name either to honour her sister or for practical purposes so it did go a little different.

• Melinda Clarke did an amazing job. I especially loved her reactions while Nikita was reliving her past. My favourite was probably her expression when Nikita was promising to save Helen.

• I'm a little surprised that Nikita, with the way she empathised with Helen, concentrated an the fact that Amanda killed her sister (and father) rather than focusing more on feeling sympathy for what Amanda suffered - which is what I think Amanda was hoping for. But then it is Amanda so I don't know why that surprised me. I guess I figured it would guess Nikita to feel sorry/bad for Amanda.

"Now if you'll excuse me I'm being rude to my guest." - Amanda LOL. I loved Amanda just blowing Owen off. She just sounded so long-suffering while telling him what to do like 'why am I surrounded by idiots/have to do everything myself'.

• I was so worried for Birkoff. If someone had to die this episode I am so glad it was Sean instead. Birkoff was pretty awesome throughout - loved him actually kicking ass.

• Yay, for Sonja saving Birkoff.

• I find myself hoping that at some point Alex manages to clear Sean's name. It bothers me that he was labelled a traitor in public consciousness considering how important his country was to him. Even though he's really dead now I think it would be a wonderful goodbye to him and something he would have really appreciated.

3x19 'Self-Destruct'

• Loved the Nikita/Alex conversation in the SUV. Loved Nikita immediately going after Alex despite everything else that was happening. Loved her unquestioning belief in Alex despite the possibility that Amanda's manipulation could still be in play.

• Ryan's constant confusion over how much has happened since he was shot was very amusing.

• Very nice little Michael/Alex moment where he tells her that he's sorry about Sean and then hugs her. I really liked that.

• It's interesting how open Michael was about his feelings in the flashback. He didn't say right out that he loved her but he hinted very strongly. Not the best timing but I can see why his worry for her would drive him to say something.

• I liked the little moment between Ryan and the red shirt agents as he sent them off but it would have worked much better for me if it had been Nikita or Michael. (Also, if we'd actually seen any of them before.)

• I liked the Birkoff/Sonya conversation about how the Division agents felt loyal to Nikita because she came back to save them and gave them hope. I really wish we could have seen that this season.
