6x09 'Life Matters'

• I really liked the Sookie/Arlene scenes at the funeral.

• Lafayette looked amazing. The best he has ever looked, imo. I loved everything about his look.

• The little Erik/Pam moment in the white room was wonderful. I loved him gently pushing back her hair. I also loved that even though Pam was as high as everyone else she noticed that Erik was gone and/or upset.

• I liked the two little Sookie/Alcide scenes. They were nice and for once this season I could bear to watch Alcide. I like Alcide around Sookie (or Tara, I remember) and it'd be nice if he could stay in her storyline permanently.

• The stuff happening in the vampire storyline didn't work for me because none of it made any sense.

- The staff at the camp were giving the vampires true blood, which the vampires were always eager to drink, and any who didn't were put in the white room. Yet when Erik arrives to free everyone there are only a handful of vampires in the silo, very few Hep V victims (only one we see) and a whole lot of vampires that are just fine. Um, what?

- The guards still have their anti-vampire weapons and while vampire's are tougher and they were taken by surprise you'd think there would have been some attempts at fighting back. Yet we don't see anything to indicate that. In fact I can't remember even hearing gunfire. WTF?

- There is no way Sarah could have been overlooked by hiding under a couple corpses. I mean I loved it in that Sarah is very adaptable and always finds a way to survive but seriously.

- Why the fuck did Bill have all the white room vampires feed on him when they could have just walked out the door?! It's not like going out the door lead straight outside and into the sunlight. Okay, he's having issues and wants to be the vampire messiah or something but why would all the vampires randomly go along with it instead of just walking into the next room?

• I have a feeling that letting Sarah go is going to bite Jason, or those around him, in the ass but I'm still glad he did it.

• So the vampires stealing the true blood at the end - was that them stealing to eat it because they were hungry or stealing it to destroy because Erik or Bill had warned them that it was tainted?

• I'm really very annoyed about James taking over the whole 'saving Bill' situation while Jessica stood around panicking helplessly. It should have been her, dammit. The more I think about it the more it bugs me.

• So Ginger went off with Erik but what happened to the rest of the humans being kept prisoner at camp? They just wandered off on their own to presumably get eaten by the angry vampires running around killing everyone?

6x10 'Radioactive'

• Wow, Sookie is so tiny beside Alcide!

"Sookie! I'm actually fucking happy to see you." - Pam LOL. Now there's something that I never thought I'd hear. And the hug! Man, when Pam comes down from her high she is going to be so disgusted with herself.

• I loved the Tara/Sookie hug and the way Sookie just lost herself in it for a moment. You could see her committing it to memory just in case.

• Wow, that was kind of a rapid turn around in Ben/Warlow. He's certainly always had that darkness, his actions have been very sketchy in many ways but his change in behaviour just seemed rather abrupt.

• It really would have been nice if Sookie could have killed Warlow. Once again with the woman being helpless and needing a man to save her. The Niall save was ridiculous. How convenient. Actually, I'm fine with Jason killing Warlow since I think between the two of them it's Jason who really needed it; the vengeance for their parents deaths. But I really, really wish that Sookie could have fought back effectively. That she hadn't needed to be saved. It annoys me so much.

• Warlow's death was way to easy. I was left going - 'that's it?'

• I wonder if Sookie will ever tell Jason the truth about their parents? I feel like no simply because she always tries to protect him and it would do nothing but hurt him.

• I laughed a little at Erik sunbathing naked on top of a mountain in Sweden, reading a book, trying to find some peace and inner calm. Oh Erik. Also - enjoyed the scenery. And then he burst into flames. WHAT?! Yeah, no I don't believe for a second that he's dead. Nope. Clearly Pam shows up and saves him. Or he digs into the ground and saves himself.

• If Sookie did become a vampire would her blood have the same affect that Warlow's did?

• Huh. Is six months actually a long stretch of time than have passed between season 1 and season 6? I can't remember if there were ever any other time skips.

• More nonsensical plot stuff - Hep V killed vampires, how the hell did it mutate into making vampires basically zombies with human carriers for it?

• It was nice to see Sookie so happy. She seemed very free. I've always mostly liked Sookie/Alcide so I don't mind them together (though I doubt it'll last) and she is certainly way better for him than his last girlfriend. Plus I did wish in the last review for him to stick around with Sookie. Hopefully this means his whole werewolf plotline is done.

• The Tara/Willa bonding was nice. They're family in a way, both were basically abandoned by their Makers and I liked that they become close in response.

• Two, well three, attempts to make amends. I'm glad for Tara that she got her mother sincerely apologising to her for being a horrible mother. (Even though I doubt it a bit.) I think it's something she's always needed and maybe it'll help heal some of her hurt. The Jessica attempt to make amends got to me more and the situation was just ouch for everyone. But of course Andy wouldn't kill her because he isn't that kind of guy. I wonder if this was the first time since it happened that they've met? I think so. Then there's Bill and I wonder how far he'll go to make amends? He really annoyed me by asking Alcide if he could talk to Sookie privately but I did love Sookie pointing out that she never could trust him, not even in the beginning.

• I really wish we could have had a small Sookie/Adilyn scene. Sookie is the only other faerie she knows. She saved her like she couldn't her sisters. Sookie grew up not knowing others like herself, always alone. She knows how lonely Adilyn must feel. I would have loved to seen a moment that showed that they had kept in contact over those six months and that Sookie had taken Adilyn under her wing. They could have easily fit it in during the blood testing scene.

• Monogamous vampire/human symbiotic relationships, hmm. Mostly I'm a little surprised that both reverends were all for it and how supportive of it Arlene was.
