iaria7x01 'The Hofstadter Insufficiency'
I didn't really like this episode.
I Liked
• Sheldon and Penny’s scenes, especially their first and final ones. I liked Penny's smile after Sheldon takes over her room. I loved the sincerity between them in their final scene - I liked Sheldon confronting Penny on her dismissing his confession and her apology. The hug was lovely
• I liked the Leonard partying scene.
• I liked Amy and Bernadette’s reactions to being hit on.
I Disliked
• The Raj/Howard storyline was boring.
• I was annoyed that Amy/Bernadette’s storyline immediately devolved into being all about guys.
• The Penny/Leonard relationship really annoyed me. I hated Penny’s reaction to Leonard having a good time on his trip. I found him asking Sheldon to “take care” of Penny irritating instead of sweet like Penny did. I really hated that last scene of Leonard showing his coworkers Penny’s topless movie scene and being all smug about her being his girlfriend. I think if Penny hadn't been ashamed by it, as seen by the fact she has never told him about it, it wouldn’t bother me as much but since she is it makes me hate him in that scene.
7x02 'The Deception Verification'
This episode was better.
• The Howard estrogen storyline annoyed me for the most part though I did love Bernadette’s expression when she caught sight of Howard and Raj feeling each other up and their excitement when the oven timer went off.
• The Sheldon vs Leonard/Penny tiff was amusing. I really enjoyed the confrontation scene in particular.
Sheldon: You find me finicky, pedantic and annoying.
Penny: No he doesn't.
Leonard: I actually kind of used those exact words before. In that order.
• I liked Leonard which was nice.
• I was amused that it’s Penny putting old takeout in the garbage that convinces Amy that Penny is having an affair.
• I really liked all the Amy scenes. I liked her getting into spying at Penny's door, I liked her trying to stop Sheldon from entering, that she stayed out of the whole situation, and that she stood up for Penny and shut Sheldon down when he tried to make an ultimatum.
• I loved that Sheldon’s reaction to being told by Penny that he can’t just barge into her apartment is to go “right” and then go out and knock.
