The Big Bang Theory 7x03 'The Scavenger Vortex'

This was really fun!

- Amy/Howard's unexpected bonding on Neil Diamond was delightful. I loved that they blew off the scavenger hunt to do karaoke together.

- I loved that Penny wasn't a liability to her team. She was pretty even with Sheldon from what we saw.

- I don't understand why everyone blew off Raj's murder mystery night because that sounds like fun too.

- I felt bad for Stuart. Whatever happened to the bromance he and Raj had going?

- Bernadette was funny if a bit too mean but it ended up working because Leonard would snap back.

- "Wish I had a man like her on my team." - Bernadette. See this exchange both amused me and really, really irritated me. I hate when 'man' is used to indicate something good/strong, and 'girl/girly/being a woman' indicates something weak. Drives me crazy.

The Blacklist

I like it. James Spader is excellent as Raymond Reddington. He is very enjoyable to watch and really makes the show. Elizabeth Keen took a little longer but I like her. I'm really enjoying the Reddington/Keen relationship.

- The obvious explanation for Reddington's interest in Keen is that she's his daughter which makes me wonder if that's really where they're going with it but I can't think of any other explanation. I'd like it to be the explanation simply because I think it will only make their relationship even more interesting when it comes out.

- The over the top drama in the first episode actually took me out of the story - the military helicopter and dozen agents sent to get Keen or the two soldiers fully outfitted complete with guns sent with Keen to the little girl's dance class. I kept going 'wait, seriously'. Also Reddington shackled in the box as if he was Hannibal confused me. The background given doesn't indicate that he's a violent criminal or physically dangerous, so why were they treating him like he was?

- Big hole in 1x02 – why would the FBI assume that The Freelancer would be at the fundraiser? Even if he was choosing to assassinate her there he assassinates by creating big tragedies with high body counts that look like accidents. It just doesn’t make sense to me that he’d be there. That bothered me. Despite that I did love how the whole situation played out. I liked the twist about Reddington hiring the Freelancer himself and that Reddington's real goal was Florianna.

- Reddington's security detail are an interesting mix - Dembe (freedom fighter and former sex slave), Luli Zeng (economics PhD who handles his money) and Margot Malik (CIA agent who doesn't mind using torture). I hope we get more about them.

I'm especially interested in the trio of Reddington/Dembe/Luli. Despite Keen's profiling him as someone who doesn't forge bonds and whose 'closest friends are strangers' he seemed pretty damn close to Dembe and Luli and I can't help but feel like part of the reason Red went after Florianna was partially because of Dembe.
