Dal Ja’s Spring Episode 17 Review

• Dal Ja and Tae Bong were so completely adorable. See:
- Him offering to sue the company if Ms. Kang makes trouble for Dal Ja because of their relationship.
- Their vacation music montage of adorableness – cleaning the windows together and getting into a water fight; cooking together (I loved him holding her from behind); relaxing in bed together reading (did she have no pants on!?) and I loved her laying down on his lap and them feeding each other and then napping together in bed.
- Tae Bong massaging Dal Ja’s shoulders after their mothers left.
- Dal Ja’s “Gosh, his smile is so likeable.” and the fact that she couldn’t seem to stop smiling.
- I love that she’s amused but seemingly supportive of the idea of supporting Tae Bong while he works towards being a chef. She seemed charmed by it.
- Tae Bong’s “Just wear anything. You look good no matter what.” which should have sounded like a line but he is just so sincere that it didn’t. I also loved that when Dal Ja got all self-conscious about the attention they were getting at the party Tae Bong’s reply was “Because you’re too beautiful.”
• Dal Ja really did look amazing. Red is most definitely her colour and she looks fabulous with her hair back like that. I loved how gobsmacked he was when he saw her. Also I loved that her smile seemed less shy and more ‘yeah, I’m hot’.
• I was pleased when she went to Seon Joo for make-over help but their scene was way too short. I wish we could have gotten a longer scene with Dal Ja trying on dresses, them talking and maybe even Seon Joo doing her hair/makeup.
• I was a bit disappointed by Tae Bong's explanation for why he liked Dal Ja. She gave this long and detailed explanation for why she liked him but he just went ‘I can’t put it into words but I like you’. I want to hear him say why he likes her so much.
• “Having a lover don’t you have something you’ve always wanted to do?” – Tae Bong So they are still sleeping together? This has actually been driving me crazy. When he carries her into her bedroom that meant they went and had sex again, right? I mean seriously. They have to still be sleeping together.
• You know Tae Bong really got the better end of the deal when they were working to bring their mothers around. He just went back to his job where his boss liked him before and the grandma was on his side. Dal Ja has to try and make friends with his mother who hates her. My first thought was that if Dal Ja wanted to win Yeon Suk over she’d do a better job at it if she ‘forced’ Tae Bong to visit her more, and eat dinner with her.
I did like that they did actually end up getting to both mothers in the end. I really loved Yeon Suk going to Jung Ae and being all polite and worried and then the two of them freaking each other out over the possibility of their kids committing suicide, working together and then ending the episode firmly on the same page. Maybe there is hope that they’ll become friends again.
• The imagined Dal Ja/Tae Bong as Romeo and Juliet scenario was hilarious. I loved the exchange between Dal Ja Juliet and Tae Bong Romeo. She pauses in drinking her poison to comment on how his dagger will hurt, he in turn asks if she can leave some of the poison for him, she calmly replies no and drinks but after a dubious look at his dagger he takes the poison out of her hand and drinks some himself. LOL!
• Sae Doo/Dal Ja continue to be adorable. I do like Sae Do/Seon Joo even if I don’t talk about them. I’m betting that their storyline is going to end with them both getting the two year foreign exchange work placement. It seems obvious.
