Dal Ja’s Spring Episode 15 Review

This episode felt a bit weird. It just didn’t play out in any way I was expecting it too. I was really shocked that they actually slept together. I was not expecting that at all! I actually thought for the longest time that they hadn’t really slept together but that Dal Ja just thought they had for some reason. I mean we got no shots of them together in bed, and then her sneaking out of the apartment in the morning and not knowing where he was and just how they interacted – it was not what I was expecting for the day after the first time they slept together. It was kind of anticlimactic really. And it certainly wasn’t as happy, schmoopy or adorable as I was expecting it to be.
• Are they going to continue to be sleeping together? I mean they slept together once then Dal Ja did her whole ‘playing cool’ for awhile and it just doesn’t seem as if either of them are thinking ‘let’s do it again!’ which I find very strange.
• I love when Dal Ja and Sae Do call each other ‘friend’. I loved Dal Ja giving Sae Do some really excellent advice this episode.
• The ex-Mrs. Eom hiding her face behind her table’s small potted plant amused me.
• I just noticed that Jung Ae’s restaurant is called ‘Dal Ja’s Place’ which I find so sweet.
• Is Dal Ja’s pretty co-worker called Young Gi (as it seemed two episodes ago) or Yeon Suk (as she was called in this episode)? This is bugging me!
• I was very happy that Tae Bong’s mother finally, finally, gets a name: Yeom Shin.
• The Yeom Shin/Shin Wook confrontation was pretty harsh. I mean his “It’s the first time both of us are of the same mind!” about him being miserable with his life too made me wince a bit.
• I did like the final scene with the confrontation between Yeom Shin and Jung Ae and then the kids being brought into it. I have to say she’s quite annoying but I do feel a bit sorry for Yeom Shin. I mean with her son avoiding being in her presence hooking up with an older woman that she’s only seen the bad of so far and then finding her husband, who she has an estranged relationship with, mooning over his first love, who in turn just happens to be the mother of her son’s girlfriend... I can see why she’s freaking out. What horrible timing for the kids though – if the confrontation had happened before this episode they could have said that they were ‘just living together’ but now that they’ve slept together... yeah, I don’t see them being able to keep that secret.
